Feature Friday: Refresh Restyle

I wanted to add a note today about technical issues that some are having with my blog. Over a week ago, some of you started seeing my blog loading with a small skinny column to the left and sent me screenshots.  We haven’t been able to find out what the problem is and I am in the process of moving to a new host server as well.  Please comment if you are still having problems with seeing the skinny column and let me know the browser and version you are using, if you know that.  I’d love to be able to see if there is a fix for this, but it’s not showing for me or my tech guy who has checked it out.  I think it might be a browser issue, so if you change browsers, it may be fine, Firefox seemed to be a common denominator with those seeing the issue.  I get so discouraged with technical issues, since I’m not a tech guru and have no idea how to fix things myself.  And it’s so strange that this is happening to some of you, but not all. Thanks!

Today’s Feature Friday is one of my blog friends who I’ve known for awhile now, Debbie with Refresh Restyle. She’s up there with me in the over 50 category and I think most all of you relate to us baby boomers who love decorating and sharing our projects. I’m happy to be among so many inspiring bloggers over 50 who aren’t slowing down.  Debbie paints furniture and does all sorts of DIY projects and her home is near Athens, GA and looking very pretty.

Unfortunately everything showing to the left for me still and is very hard to read. Even the photos are small and they don’t enlarge by clicking on them.
I’m using Chrome browser version Version 51.0.2704.84 m

    Hello Rhoda,
I still have the “skinny column problem” when I use Google Chrome on my laptop. When I switch to Internet Explorer, I don’t.

THanks, Bente, it seems to just be a browser problem, so am not sure we can find a solution. So strange!

Love your blogs I’ve followed you perhaps 4 years since you were in B’ham
I didn’t observe distortion on blog last week but for 18 months annoying ads are in between pix and cut lines on my mobile phone but not my desk top I don’t know if you advertise with these people or not but its annoying and interferes with the continuity and flow
I’ve put up with it despite that but wish you would see what the prob is and fix
    Thanx

HI, Leila, so sorry about that. I do have mobile ads that my ad guy sets up, so they are authorized. They are in between the content and that’s how they are set up, but aren’t supposed to get in the way of reading if you keep scrolling down. I can see these on my phone too, but can still read the post. I know ads can be annoying and I try to have them set up as unobtrusive as possible.

I just love your guest room. May I ask what color you used on the walls? Thank you! Judy
