Feature Friday: Refresh Restyle

I wanted to add a note today about technical issues that some are having with my blog. Over a week ago, some of you started seeing my blog loading with a small skinny column to the left and sent me screenshots.  We haven’t been able to find out what the problem is and I am in the process of moving to a new host server as well.  Please comment if you are still having problems with seeing the skinny column and let me know the browser and version you are using, if you know that.  I’d love to be able to see if there is a fix for this, but it’s not showing for me or my tech guy who has checked it out.  I think it might be a browser issue, so if you change browsers, it may be fine, Firefox seemed to be a common denominator with those seeing the issue.  I get so discouraged with technical issues, since I’m not a tech guru and have no idea how to fix things myself.  And it’s so strange that this is happening to some of you, but not all. Thanks!

Today’s Feature Friday is one of my blog friends who I’ve known for awhile now, Debbie with Refresh Restyle. She’s up there with me in the over 50 category and I think most all of you relate to us baby boomers who love decorating and sharing our projects. I’m happy to be among so many inspiring bloggers over 50 who aren’t slowing down.  Debbie paints furniture and does all sorts of DIY projects and her home is near Athens, GA and looking very pretty.

    Rhoda,
Thanks so much for sharing our home today. It’s nothing fancy, lots of thrifty finds and DIY projects but we call it home!
    Have a great weekend,
    Debbie

The home is beautiful! You’ve got quite a talent with decorating.

On another note: While I know that ads are a necessary factor in blogging, I am recently seeing them interspersed with the text. I don’t know if a setting on my iPad has changed or your format has changed, but I find it very annoying. Please put them back on the margins.
    Still…I love your blog! ????

I’ve been out of the country and not following the blog but for at least three or four days, I’d click on my icon for your blog and it came up “Error incorrect address”. But yesterday and today you’re back!

    Hope this helps.

What a beautiful home and your dog is adorable. You really know how to strike that perfect balance between tons of neutrals and then pops of color to keep it interesting/homey. Thank you for generously opening it up for us to see and enjoy!

Rhoda-how is your new grand niece? Am hoping to hear an update soon. 🙂

Mary, all I can say is try another browser. I hate this is happening, but haven’t so far figured out the problem.

    Hi Rhoda,

I have been following your blog for a long time and I too have the narrow column problem. I started seeing this issue last week in my Chrome browser Version 50.0.2661.102 (64-bit). What’s interesting is when I use Safari on the same Mac, your website works.

    Thanks,

    Ruchi

I’m using the newest version of Chrome and I’m also having that problem but only on my computer. I use Chrome on my Android phone and it’s showing just fine.

    Hi Rhoda,

Your blog is still in a skinny column to the left of the screen. I use Foxfire.

I just installed Mozilla and opened your blog, it looks perfect in the mozilla browser, must be a Chrome issue.

Ya’ll this glitch is really stumping me and my tech guy. He’s looked into it and it seems to be both Chrome and Firefox that are having issues. We updated a plugin on my site and that’s the same day all this started happening, but so far not seeing why or how to fix it. I don’t know what to do!
