While in Nashville a couple of weeks ago, we not only visited the HGTV Smart House, but we also had dinner at a delightful blogger’s house, Kristie, of The Decorologist.  She’s a pretty woman, mom and wife and also an avid decorator in the area, with her own thriving business. And she has a wonderful older vintage house with great bones, in a beautiful cottage style. She likes plenty of accessories, so those of you in that camp will love Kristie’s place. We were oohing and ahhing over all of it and sitting in the dining room having dinner was a real treat.
I’m not going to add a lot of words to this one, but enjoy the beautiful tour of Kristie’s house. She’s done a wonderful job with her house and I loved seeing all of it!
We did enjoy such a wonderful dinner and conversations around this table.
Don’t you just love a beautifully set table? Me too!
Me and the beautiful Kristie.
Kristie, thank you for letting me share your gorgeous home. When I walked in there, I said please let me take pics, I want to share on my Feature Friday series and she was happy to let me.
I hope you’ll go over and take a look at her blog, The Decorologist. She’s so talented and so sweet. Loved getting to know her and I hope to see her again when I get back to Nashville.
Yes! I love her home and the advice she offers. Great feature!
I LOVE the green tile in the bathroom! I enjoy the fact that they kept what they had and worked with it. People are so quick to rip out the old and bring in the new these days…so I loved that they kept what they had and made it work.
Thanks for sharing.
Oh Rhoda..what a beautiful home, and as you said a beautiful person…I love the many vintage items in her home that are so creatively showcased!…and I heart that magazine stand!!…An amazing home!…I loved touring it and having to scroll back and forth to not miss a detail!….Thanks for another great feature today and Happy Easter to you and Kristie.
Fun! Beautiful home! I loved the peak inside. My favorite things were the matching white armoires in the bedroom and the painted floors. Thanks for the tour!
What a pretty home filled with touches of whimsy! I love the mismatched dining room chairs, the turquoise cuckoo clock, and the unicorn “trophy” in one of the kid’s bedrooms. What a fun place to live!
Beautiful home! Thanks for sharing! Life to the full! Melissa
Thank you so much, Rhoda, for featuring my home today! It was wonderful to meet you and have dinner with you and all the other fun bloggers who came to Nashville. It’s fun to see the shots you took of the house 🙂 Hope to see you again in the future!
xoxo
Kristie
What a treat to be invited to such a lovely home! I need her at my house to help me with my accessorizing. In my house, it just looks like too much stuff. Oh yeah, that would be called “clutter”. I love how her colors are always light and delicate. I think I need to lighten up my home, too. Thanks for the intro to her blog!
Thanks for the tour! Love the magazine rack!
I love how that house is decorated!
Kristie’s home is filled with personality and I bet she is just as interesting as her home and collections! Her vintage displays have a modern vibe to them and that is very hard to achieve. Hopping over to her blog now. Have a happy Easter, Rhoda!
I just love her booth in the Kitchen. She has so many fun ideas. And that green bathroom, love it too. Thanks for sharing. Happy Easter Rhoda, ‘He is risen, He is risen indeed’.
What a pretty home, I love the butlers sink and the blue toile paper in the bathroom. Absolutely love the stone exterior.
Lee 🙂
Charming and delightful! Love all the vintage touches.
I especially like the kitchen built in benches. I remember a kitchen just like it. Happy memories there.
Love your blog & look forward to reading it every day. I haven’t been receiving it via email in about a week. Karianne posted she’s had trouble with hers, so I was wondering if there’s a problem with yours also? Has anyone else mentioned any problems?
Yes, Belinda, I’ve heard from a few folks about the emails not going out and it seems to be happening around blogland. I’m hoping that Feedburner gets it fixed for all of us.
What a fun roundup of Kristie’s house. I noticed some things in your photos that I didn’t see in person. We definitely need a Nashville Summer Sleepover Party. Stay tuned for details 🙂 xoxox
