Heading to Tybee Island and Savannah!

Is anyone else dreaming of Spring as much as I am?

I mentioned last week that I would soon be heading to Tybee Island with some other blog friends for a girl’s weekend away and today is the day! We’ll be staying on Tybee Island, courtesy of Mermaid Cottages and we are all in for a treat. This event was started by Mary Kay Andrews and she has been working alongside Diane, who manages Mermaid Cottages, and me to plan this fun bloggers weekend.  If you want to see more of these cottages, click on the Mermaid link and you can see all the cottages for rent on Tybee Island.  They are all so cute!

We have a full weekend scheduled, including a day in Savannah with lunch at The Lady and Sons.  I’ve never eaten at The Lady and Sons, Paula Deen’s restaurant, and I cannot wait to experience it all.   I know I’ll take way too many pics, but of course will be sharing all the fun with you all too.  It’s been way too long since I’ve been to Savannah and I’m so looking forward to staying on Tybee for 4 nights in one of these adorable cottages.  Tybee is a great place to get away from it all and we cannot wait to explore and experience Tybee’s charm.

Ebbtide

Mary Kay Andrews has 2 cottages on Tybee, Ebbtide and the Breeze Inn.  Our group will have a total of 6 cottages that we will be staying in:  Breeze Inn, Ebbtide, Castaway Cottage, Blue Star Cottage, Screened Inn, and White Caps.

Cute deck at Ebbtide.  I hear these cottages are just steps from the Tybee beach.

Adorable kitchen in red and white.

I don’t mean to  make you jealous, but I sure could use this view right about now.  I love the beach!

The Breeze Inn

The Breeze Inn, another of Mary Kay’s cottages.

Breeze Inn living room

So cute inside, just like her own house in Atlanta.  She has a way of junking and putting things together so well.

Whitecaps

This is White Caps and I especially love this one!  In fact, since I was assigning cottages, I picked this one to stay in.  So cute!

Just look at that porch, it’s amazing!

whitecaps bedroom

One of the bedrooms.  I wonder which one I’ll stay in.  There will be 3 other ladies joining me at White Caps.  You know it’s going to be one big slumber party!

Blue Star Cottage will hold 2 of our bloggers.

They are in for a treat too, with all this cuteness around.

blue star twins

Twin beds in one room.

So, how fun will that be?  We are so excited for our fun blogger’s weekend on Tybee Island and of course, all of us will be sharing when we get back.  You can bet it will be a fabulous girlfriend time and we will have a blast.  Think there will be much talking going on?  Of that, I’m sure.

Sleep, now that’s another story!

See you back here soon!

Rhoda, me and seven of my lady friends rented a Mermaid Cottage at Tybee Island last month. It was so cold the fountain in Forsyth Park had three foot icicles hanging from it. We had a ball. This was our fifth trip. We’ve made it an annual January event. The first time I visited, I stayed at Star Cottage. It is adorable.

I hope you enjoy your time there and have good weather.

We ate at The Lady & Sons a couple of yrs ago and it was so good! The wait staff was so nice. I took a pic of my husband right down the street from there, on a bench, where Tom Hanks, aka: Forrest Gump sat waiting for a bus to see Jennie. I love Savannah! I know you girls had a blast 😀
    Thanks for sharing!

Welcome to Savannah, y’all will just LOVE it here and Tybee. When at the Lady & Sons y’all have to try the collard greens, just to die for, you have to got to Mrs. Wilkes the food there is amazing, take a tour of the lighthouse, sorry but 4 days is not enough time to see our beautiful city. Have fun ladies……

What a great time you must have had. I did a post about Tybee Island on Saturday. You were probably there then. What a coincidence! Can’t wait to hear all about your girls party.
