Holiday: A Giveaway

Giveaway is Closed

After much anticipation by all, the beautifully designed issues of Holiday magazine by Matthew Mead have arrived. After preordering earlier this year, I just received my copy in the last couple of days and have flipped through the gorgeous pages and will set aside time to read each and every entry. It’s 146 pages of pure Christmas magic and beauty and I really think that you’ll all enjoy it tremendously. It’s only available through the Holiday website at this time, no copies will be on the newsstands. This is the very first issue and we hope there are more!

Not your typical glossy magazine, this is really more of a book, with matte pages and beautifully photographed Christmas rooms and ideas. Chock full of crafts, recipes, vignettes and more, it is sure to be a book to turn to for Holiday inspiration for years to come.

Matthew is completely an artist when it comes to styling photos and vignettes.  Second to none and you can see his well-known work all over the pages.  Matthew has been involved in magazines  for so many years and is a master. You’ll find loads of inspiration for your own Christmas style.

Page after page of beauty and tempting ideas.

And you won’t find all the ads in between stories like normal magazines.  There are a few at the back and mostly small women-owned shops are featured.  Several bloggers (including myself) are featured in a few pages and Christmas craft ideas from our blogs were used as inspiration.  So, if you need some fresh new ideas this year, I think you’re in luck.  Matthew and company have asked me to give away ONE copy of Holiday to one of you.  If you already have a copy, please don’t sign up.  I’d love for someone who does not already own one, to win this time!

Thanks so much!  Just leave a comment and tell me what sort of ideas you have this year for Christmas decorating.  Are you changing things up or doing what you always do?

Me, I always have to change things up some just to keep things fresh and new!

NOTE:  If you are reading this by email subscription, please DO NOT email me back for the giveaway.  As always, you will need to leave comments on THIS post to be eligible for the magazine!  Thanks so much!

I’ve got a few giveaways going on this week and last, so bear with me.  They’re all good ones, so I hope you enjoy.  I’ll pick a winner on Wednesday evening.

I would love to win! I think I may do two trees this year. Our fake tree with all the normal ornaments, and a small real tree from a farm near our home. This will be with for all my Swedish ornaments (I’m of Swedish descent!)

i usually use the same things/do the the same things – but this year I am thinking of picking a color theme – maybe blue and silver.

I use a natural pallette with ivory silver and a tiny bit of gold and red. I try to weed out a little each year and add one new thing. This year I think it will be some pale green velvet pillows to go on our newly slip covered ivory couch.

We’re gonna be mixing it up year beacause we got a new dog and I can see her now in the Christmas tree! So were looking to find a way to decorate with a smaller tree. Winning would give me great ideas!

I would love to win the Holiday book. I have read so much about it on various blogs and would love to see what all the hype is about! For Christmas this year I am doing much of the same as last year – I will be 7 months pregnant so I don’t want to go crazy overboard! There is one ornament wreath I hope to try and make…will write a blog post about it if I get around to it! 🙂 ~Iris~

I would LOVE to get this magazine!!! I always enjoyed the posts he had in Country Home magazine. Such great ideas.
Christmas decorations in our house tend towards vintage, natural, tradtional colors. I use a lot of pinecones, vintage silvery accents, and pieces collected over our 18 years together. I always like to add in new stuff here and there. My favorite is the huge noble fir that we get to put up in our living room (2 story room) and the cedar garland I hang on our front porch. Living in Oregon, the trees are inexpensive and gorgeous! 🙂
    Fingers crossed on this giveaway!!!!!

I’ve been looking forward to this magazine, but didn’t realize it wouldn’t be available in stores. I always change things up a bit for Christmas decorating and go temporarily insane by decorating up a storm. This year I have a new bay window to decorate. Thanks for the chance to win!

I have very few decoration books so I’d love this one to start a collection. I need inspiration on how to make everyday or inexpensive items look more like heirlooms.
