Holiday Parade of Homes 2014, Nashville Area

Last week, I took a quick trip to Nashville to see the Holiday Parade of Homes and meet up with some of my fellow bloggers for a day of festivities.  You know I love a good home tour and these did NOT disappoint.  They were decorated to the max with beautiful furnishings AND they were also decked with out with some Christmas decorations too.  In fact, 4 of my blog friends decorated trees in the house for a Make-a-Wish campaign, all for a great cause.  So, sit back and relax and I’ll show you the four beautiful homes that I toured last week in Arrington, TN, just south of Nashville.

I  met up with my media friends, Nancy and Dana with Forest Home Media, who were the ladies behind spreading the word about the Parade of Homes for the builders.

I hope you enjoyed touring these beautiful homes as much as I did.  These homes are SO nice and spacious, but it’s hard to imagine actually living in something that large.  I still love my cozy home, sweet home, but so enjoy seeing large and magnificent homes like these in the Nashville area.

If you are in that area and want to tour the Parade of Homes, they are open to the public to tour until December 21st, so by all means go by and visit if you have the time and are in the Nashville area.  The homes are in Arrington, TN, just south of Nashville in the Kings Chapel community.

  1. Nancy from RI says:

Gorgeous homes and Christmas decorations. Wow!

  2. wow, not a chevron nor anything turquoise in sight………..what a surprise…

  3. Loving all of these home & decor, one more beautiful than the next…when can I move in? lol
    Beautiful and breathtaking! xo

  4. Beautiful and beige! Thank goodness for KariAnne’s Christmas tree with color! I thought there was something wrong with my eyes. No really, the homes are beautiful and maybe the new owners will add some color.
Is the rating thing new or have I just missed it?

  5. It was so great to see you last week! Thanks so much for coming. Your photos are gorgeous. Loved your post. xoxoxo

  6. Becky in 'Bama says:

Beige and brown, tan and white, gray and white, brown and tan, white and beige…. whew (even in the baby’s nursery!). Not ALL but that was the color scheme of most. When I read a “Holiday Parade of Homes” these are not exactly what I had in mind. To each his own, I guess, but I prefer a bit of color. Beautifully decorated definitely, but all out of range for my budget. Thanks for the pics, Rhoda. You offer something for everyone as a good blogger should.

  7. I really enjoyed finding new elements (and DIY ideas, of course!) in each and some of the artwork was phenomenal. Thank you for taking the time to share these!

  8. Love these houses and ideas! I love seeing your home tours!
    Sheila

  9. Absolutely Stunning!!!! Thank you so much for capturing all the specials features of each and every home. I know I will be looking at these pictures again and again and again…..

  10. While beautiful so many lacked any warmth of color which felt like no personality. Did though love the wood ceiling of the Gregg &Rains house.

  11. Loved seeing all the beautiful homes, couldn’t help thinking that they would all be well over the 3 million mark here in Southern California!!

  12. Wow…they are gorgeous homes!….loved seeing the decorated trees!!…wonder if they are opened between Christmas and New Year’s….

  13. P.S…particularly love the outside design of that home by Arnold.

  14. Segreto Secrets says:

Amazing home tours – I adore the square lanterns in the first home and the sweet nursery as well! Beautiful!

  15. So glad you showed the interiors of the home, Rhoda! I love to attend a good Parade of Homes! There is a beautiful, soft rug in the bedroom of the last home that I could just roll around on! LOL! I thought the gold record skirt that Jenna created for her Make-a-Wish tree was so creative, and I hope you had a chance to hear Keb Moe. We’ve seen him several times and he is one of my favorites.

  16. Wow! The architecture here is awesome! Love all the houses….such detail! I don’t mind the neutrals..find it relaxing. Pops of color are good, and neutrals provide the opportunity for easily getting a new look more frequently. Thanks for sharing.

  17. I love the lullaby musical wall decal. Where did you get it???

  18. The music notes in the baby’s nursery? I’m doing my nursery and wanted to steal that if I could or find something similar?? Please and Thank you!

    • HI, Abigayle, I don’t have any details on the house, but I would imagine it is a stencil or hand drawn. You may be able to do a Google search and find something online.

    • Abigayle,

Funny that you had the same exact question as I did! I LOVE that nursery. After 3 days of searching I finally solved the puzzle!! That nursery wall is a mural created by artist Heather S. Thompson. You can find more about her at heathersthompson.com.

As for creating this, or something similar ourselves, well, that may be a challenge! But I sure do love it!

  19. Can’t believe it’s almost that time of year again! We have several things in the works for this year’s Parade of Homes so I am already in Holiday Brain. These homes are absolutely beautiful. I’m really loving all the big, bold greenery I’m seeing, I expect to see more this year. It’s such a warm, welcoming sight and really amps up your holiday lighting. We have a couple tricks up our sleeve we’re fine tuning!

  20. All of the decorating is SO over the top and heavy that you obscure the pretty features of the house.IMHO.
