Home & Seasons Treasure Trolley

Last month, I went on another fun adventure here in my town. We have a local home decor shop, Home and Seasons, and they are a store set up with over 50 vendors, selling home decor, collectibles, clothing, jewelry, gift ideas and more. There’s is even a newly established area for one of our favorite bakeries, McIntyre’s, selling their delectable baked goods. I was invited by Jennifer, the owner,  to go on the Treasure Trolley, which they’ve done several times in the past. This is the second shopping trip I’ve taken on a bus like this, but my first time with Home & Seasons and it was so much fun. I really enjoyed all of the 5 stops we had, as well as the boxed lunch and drinks and snacks all during the day. They made it such a fun event, so I wanted to share with all of you who are local and might want to catch the next one, which will be Tuesday, June 16th. I’m pretty sure I’m going again, since I enjoyed the first one so much. The cost is $75 and includes the bus trip, with 5 stops and lunch, snacks and drinks. You can’t beat it for a fun outing! Many were with their friends and shopping together.

I didn’t get pics of the first stop, but I had fun shopping there. It’s one of my favorites here in my area of Acworth, Urban Renewal, a women’s consignment clothing shop. I’ve shopped and consigned there and they have upscale clothing, which I’ve bought before. I bought 3 things on this trip, couldn’t resist bringing home 3 tops in my color palette. If you haven’t been, check them out here in Acworth on Cobb Pkwy.

Our second stop was Revive/Restore in Woodstock, a thriftstore full of all sorts of things. I saw a few things that caught my eye and I brought home a wicker basket for Daisy’s dog toys, a blue and white bowl, and a leather belt.

Here’s the Italian bowl I bought. I like bowls this size and use them all the time.

This little table caught my eye and it was marked $33. We did have a little mishap at this stop, when the bus driver turned into the parking lot and the driveway going in was inclined with a dip in the road. With that large bus, it was a big problem since the back of the bus got hung up on the pavement behind us and we were stuck. We all got off and shopped, then we had our boxed lunch in the parking lot while they figured out a plan. The tow truck had to come and get the bus and in the process pulled the line for the coolant system and it ran all over the ground, so Plan B was hatched and another bus came. We were not too far off our schedule, but it was just one of those things that happens.

Stop 3 was the Painted Tree & Must Marketplace next door. I found out The Painted Tree is a store that is also all over the country with several locations. I had never been in here before, but it was very nice. There are lots of mini-shops inside and it’s huge. It’s at the edge of Marietta and Roswell on Hwy. 92.

Next stop was the Magnolia Market in Hiram, Ga and it was filled with lots of goodies too. They even served us cookies and homemade ice cream, which was so delicious and refreshing. It was a beautiful spring day. I didn’t buy anything in here or The Painted Tree, but it was tempting. I’m trying not to bring a lot more home decor home since I have so much already.

Our last stop was Treasure Hunt in Powder Springs and I had never been here either. It’s fun to hit places that are out of my normal path and these last 3 were definitely that, but I enjoyed them all. This antique mall had a lot of vendors and beautiful things!

I spotted this bunny planter as soon as I walked in and grabbed it for $25! And as you saw, I put it to use on my spring table this year. I dearly love vintage pieces like this!

There was a lot of cute spring decor in this shop, as well as cabbageware and lots of traditional collectibles that caught my eye.

I love vintage colorful planters like these too and have several in my house.

And of course, blue and white.

Lots of Staffordshire dogs and green and pink Bordallo cabbageware. I checked the prices in here and yes, they know what they have in that Bordallo pottery, although it’s probably cheaper in here than online.

It was a fun day of browsing and everyone had a great time. The Treasure Trolley is an all day event. We left the store by 9:00 a.m. and got back to the store with all our treasures around 6:30, I think. It was fun and fun day. If you’re interested in joining the next one, here’ the link to register at Home & Seasons. I think you’ll love it too! I’m going to invite some friends and go again, so come and join us. I loved the array of stores we went to: consignment, thriftstore and antique mall.

I think this is a wonderful idea! It allows people to go shopping that otherwise would not venture out for reasons. Great for the shops too! Seems all the stores were well stocked. Just hope that they sell! It takes a lot of time and money sourcing to fill a booth. Loved your bunny case! Happy Easter to your family
