We’ve been making a lot of changes on the outside of the house starting with the gardening. I’ve been looking at Pinterest, Pottery Barn magazines and other for inspiration on how to add more interest to potted plants. Next on our list of must do’s is our detached garage and hopefully turning it into an oasis of better storage and organization and hopefully eventually move the laundry / washer & drying there as well!

This summer I’d hope to paint my lower level family room bookcases white from the dark wood that I’ve lived with for years. Unfortunately, it was the hottest summer on record and the project was “too hot to handle.” Now that cooler weather is settling it, I the project may get started. I’ve subscribed to House Beautiful for years because of its fresh looks and doable ideas.

I am in the thought process of updating our family room and bedroom. I purchased new furniture for the family room in neutral. I just need lots of inspiration.

I need to add some art work to the walls and am thinking about changing the layout of the living room furniture. I am on the lookout for some secondhand pieces that could add storage to the room too.

i’d love to get linen living room curtains from west elm. i’ve had my eye on those for too long! my current curtains are very similar and were super cheap, whihc is why i’m having trouble spending that money on the west elm ones!
