I Love Thrifting Party: July 7th

June 27, 2012 By Rhoda 42 Comments

Last year, I joined Mr. Goodwill Hunting for his very first I Love Thrifting party and it was so much fun!  I’d like to do it again, so wanted to find out who all might be interested in joining me again for this fun event.

I’ve been so busy with Haven that I haven’t had a chance to even talk about this at all.

Rashon sold these I Love Thrifting T’s last year, but I think he has sold them all now.

Let me know if you are interested by leaving a comment on this post.  We would meet up maybe for breakfast somewhere early (maybe a bagel and coffee shop) and then head out to some thrift stores.  I will probably hit some of the same ones we did last year on my side of town, Marietta area.  We had quite a crowd last year, so we’ll see who wants to come out this time.

Any one want to join me this year?  Around 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 7th.  We can also stop for lunch somewhere and then end things around 2 p.m.

Let me know if you plan to join me!

Here’s our tentative plan:

Meet at Great Harvest Bread Co. at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 7th for breakfast.

We’ll do a quick stop by my new/old house for anyone who wants to see progress, since it is on the way.  Then we’ll start at the Kennesaw Goodwill on Cobb Pkwy.  After that, we’ll head to Canton Hwy. to America’s Thriftstore, then to Queen of Hearts on Canton Hwy., then across the street to the thriftstore in Market Square shopping center.  After that, we’ll head down to Roswell Rd. in Marietta, to the missions thriftstore in the old K-Mart, then down the street to Town & Country shopping center to the Goodwill.

That will be a long day of thrifting!

I’ll be coming down to Duluth for Scrapbook Expo but maybe I could meet up for at least a little bit first thing. Marietta/Kennesaw will be on my way. I could give you a definite by early next week. Thanks.

How I wish I had begun blogging while we lived in Montgomery, AL! It would have been fun to hang out with all you in the SE and especially in the Atlanda area for the thrifting day, etc. Now it’s too far from AZ!

Sounds like a great time, but I live in Michigan! I’m sure you’ll all have a wonderful time. Can’t wait to hear about it. Will you be doing the thrifty treasure link-up party Monday, July 2? I can’t wait to show you what I did with the $8.00 thrift table that you featured a couple weeks ago!

    Hi-

I live off of Chastain Road in Kennesaw and frequent the stores weekly. Just wanted to let you know that America’s Thrift off of Canton closed as of June 26th. They are moving in the Queen of Hearts shopping plaza and won’t open till Mid/Late July. Speaking of Queen of Hearts.. they are moving as well and not sure what inventory is left. If Canton Rd is still on your map, may I suggest my favorite.. Bargain City- 3000 Canton Rd ( Next to Big Lots/Ace Hardware )

Another great cluster of stores nearby is in Woodstock- exit 7.. Goodwill & Revive/Restore.

Hi, Heather, you are really close to me! Didn’t know that America’s Thriftstore was closing last month, good to know where they are moving. I’ve already spoken to the Queen of Hearts folks & they must still be open, cause they are expecting us to drop in. Bargain City is the one I couldn’t remember the name, right across the street from Queen of Hearts. We will def. be going there. Last year we went to the Goodwill at 92, but I think this year we will skip it and head down to Roswell Road and hit 2 down that way. That should be plenty of stops! Hope you’ll join us.

Hi Rhoda! I will be coming with a couple of friends (one is Heather who commented above!). We’re excited for a day of thrifting! We’d like to sleep in a little bit and just meet you at the first store. What time should we be there? Is 9:00 good? I also emailed you with the same question in case you didn’t see this comment. 🙂
