I’m skipping Feature Friday today, just didn’t have time to finish more before Haven. But, I’m really excited to be the Cottage of the month for August over at The Old Painted Cottage. I had the pleasure of getting featured a few years ago when I was in my old house, but now that I’m in my new one, this is even better.  Thank you, Jennifer!

I took a few new shots for the tour and I’m so excited to be over there and the pics are nice and big. Jen always features some beautiful cottage homes and I’m honored to be highlighted again.  It’s been a long year of renovations and I’m so glad to be able to show it off.  Be sure to go over and check out all the Cottages of the Month if you haven’t before, there are some stunning homes over there and Jen has been doing this for years.  It’s fun to see my house with just the pics to show the journey!

Oh, my goodness. I’m drooling here. Seeing it all together, room by room, I felt almost like I was there. Everything looks so lovely and well planned, as I know it was. You have created another beautiful home. Enjoy it.

I just love what all you did. Such hard work and tons of time. But it totally paid off from all the photos I see. In Love with it all but I really love the photo with the shutters.
I can’t wait for my home to get completed so we can start work on it. As I have some glass doors I am going to do my etching work on and add all my personal touches to.
Have a great weekend and just love your blog.

Simply beautiful. Don’t know if it matters, but I think it should be “cottage” instead of “house”. Irregardless…your home is gorgeous. Love how you decorate!

Beautiful home! I AM laughing inside that obviously there are no small children at your house My five grandchildren would play havoc with your ‘pretties.’ I can just see my 2-year-old with any number of objects. Maybe some day I can decorate like that.

Congratulations, Rhoda! Heading over to the post.

So we FINALLY moved into our new house, the Blue Cottage. I can not wait to share all of my decorating and DIY adventures. And to reveal our farmhouse kitchen!

Looks like I will have to make my own sofa table and huge floor mirror – I can’t find the right ones to buy. Looking forward to it.

Rhoda, congratulations! I haven’t been here for a long time and this is my first time commenting, but I just had to pop over after seeing your absolutely beautiful home featured over at “Cottage of the Month.” I had to smile because, unless my memory is not serving me well (and there’s a good chance of that), I seem to recall you cautiously introducing a small bit of blue/turquoise into your other home way back when the color was just starting to make its re-entrance onto the home decor scene amongst all the old world/Tuscan stuff that was so prominent at the time. I absolutely LOVE all of the blue in your new home – it’s just perfect and lovely!

Hi, Kaille, you are correct and have a good memory. I started adding that a few years ago & it’s back again.

Rhoda, I’ve never noticed the beautiful carved wood trim piece over the entrance to your dining room. It’s wonderful.
