The Winner is #331, Heidi! Congrats, Heidi, you’ve got mail!
Lamps are one of the easiest things to change out in a room to make a big difference in the feel. I went through the really traditional lamp season, of iron base and bell shaped shades, but the last 3 or 4 years, I’ve transitioned over to drum shades and a more electic vibe with my table lamps and I love the changes. I’m happy that lamp manufacturers have given us so many pretty lamps to choose from the last few years. Before that, I remember having a hard time finding pretty lamps that were affordable.
I’ll show you a few of mine that I’ve had for a few years.
I found this one at a yardsale for $5 and got rid of the monstrously big shade that came with it and found the replacement shade at a thriftstore. I recovered it in this pretty black and cream damask and have enjoyed it for a long time. I might be ready for an update on the fabric pretty soon, since I have some burlap that would work perfectly. I love the glass base with gold accents and it’s a very tall stately lamp.
Another find in my living room is this mercury glass lamp that I got from Homegoods. It’s petite and fits nicely on this glass and iron side table from Ballards.
More lamps around my house. I love mixing them up and using different colors and shades all around. I try to keep my shades fairly neutral for the most part and notice I love the drum shades. Something about this shape really appeals to me and it modernizes a room so much.
Another little vignette in my den area has another metal based lamp and drum shade. I’m still working on the den, but I’ll show you some progress down here next week. It will be awhile before I get this room totally finished and I’m still using part of it for storage of accessories.
Another great find were these lamps from Kirklands that I found just after moving in my house. I absolutely love the wooden bases, the gray ceramic vase shape and the burlap drum shades. This pair was the perfect complement on my sideboard in the dining room, pulling in the gray paint in here and the colors from the curtains. They were meant to be!
Speaking of Kirklands, if you haven’t shopped there for lamps lately, they have really upped their game in lamp selections and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the ones they have. You can shop online or at their store and they have a ton of lamps on sale all the time.
Kirklands sent me a new lamp to try out in my house and I absolutely love it. This big glass base is slightly vintage looking and the glass is sort of seeded and old looking on a wooden neutral base. I really love the large drum shade covered in burlap.
It’s a great fit on my coffee table in the den, very large and distinct and the style fits right in with my Traditional furnishings in here. At 32” tall, it’s a large one!
Here’s some great news too. Kirklands wants to give ONE of my readers one of these lamps too. Yippee!! I love when I can share the fun with all of you and I’m so excited to be able to give one of you this lamp too. It will be sent directly to your home all packed up nice and neat in 2 boxes.
All you have to do is visit the Kirklands website, look at their lamps and leave a comment, telling me which one is your fave!
And tell me where you’ll put this new lamp if you’re the fortunate winner?! That’s it, I’ll choose a winner in a few days and you’ll get your very own beautiful glass lamp with burlap shade too. How fun is that?
Note: I was given a free lamp from Kirklands, but wasn’t paid for this post.

I like the Sandy Blue Glass Table Lamp. If I were to win I would use the glass lamp in my living room. It’s lovely.
Wow! Kirkland’s has great lamps. But of all the lamps the one you have, the glass with burlap shade is “The Best.” Thanks for the tip on checking them out!!!
Forgot to mention that I went to the store to look and the lamps all look great ” in person.” My fav, the glass with burlap, would just “make” my den!
I love the Zara crystal table lamp! I would put it in my guest room 🙂
I love the updated, yet traditional, Bronze Clear Glass Table Lamp.
The green hobnail table lamp. I love this color of green and need one more shot of it in my livingroom. I would put the clear glass lamp on my buffet because it wouldn’t block my painting as much as the lamp that is already there.
I like the Peacock Blue table lamp. I bought a cute lamp from Kirklands not long ago and am eyeing a mirror as well. I love the Ballards side table- I bought one this past fall and really like it!
I love the Sand Dune Lamp, I would put it my living room. I also love that Rooster Lamp too!
Oh my goodness Kirklands has great looking lamps with nice prices…..love it!
I like the Bedford Uplight. lamps. They would look very nice on my antique buffet.
Hi Rhoda,
I love the Neutral Clear Glass (same as yours). I just moved into a new home and would LOVE to have this lamp for my living room! You have been such an inspiration to me with your journey. Because of the economy and housing market, we had been living in a small two bedroom apartment for a while. So happy to finally be in a home again that I can customize to fit me!
I love the gray driftwood knot lamp. I have the perfect place next to a reading chair.
I haven’t been in Kirklands for awhile but I am going to have to make a trip. I love several of them, the antlers would go with my rustic style, the rooster would be great in my kitchen but I really need a pair of shorter chunky lamps for my bedroom. I’m thinking the antique gold fleur-de-lis would look great on my bedside tables. Thank you for the giveaway.
Hi Rhoda!
I would love to have the Turquoise Scroll Lamp. I’m trying to accessorize with this color throughout my house and need a lamp for the living room!
Rhoda, I am totally agreeing on Kirkland’s lamps.
We got a couple during the holidays that I
just fall in love with more as time goes on.
Would love one just like yours if I got lucky 🙂
It is all just looking super!
Hugs, p
Loved the glass lamps with the burlap shades but I absolutely fell in love with the ruffle on the burlap shade of the Sand Dune Table Lamp. This style is much better suited to my room, so I may have to make a trip to a Kirklands.
Blue blown glass table lamp is lovely! Like the gray washed table lamp, too!
The Rattan Duel Lamp is gorgeous.
Love the peacock blue table lamp! There are so many it’s hard to choose.
Love all the lamps, but I think the bronze table was the best for my bedroom.
I love the Sand Dune Table Lamp. I’m slowly redoing my home in natural fabrics and neutrals and it’s perfect for either my family or living room!
I adore the turqouise glass lamp.
I have a “problem” with lamps and lampshades … I like them TOO much!” My love affair is so long lasting that it has become a joke within our family.
