Interview at Houzz

What we didn’t buy at the Longest Yardsale! Aren’t these just about the most hideous lamps you’ve ever seen??  The lady at the booth said these had been photographed all day long.  I can see why, they are completely over the top ugly. 🙂

Hello, all!!  Oh my goodness, did we girls ever have fun at the Longest Yardsale yesterday and I’ll have LOTS to share on that later tomorrow for the Thrifty Monday party.  But, in the meantime, please pop over to Houzz and check out the interview they did on me, along with lots of house pics (most you have already seen, but there are a few new ones).

I’m SO honored to be chosen for their feature on different bloggers and their homes. And if you leave a comment over there, you’re eligible for a fun giveaway of a neat item that I especially picked from Hudson Goods.  So cute!

See you tomorrow!  I didn’t find a thing at the BIG sale, but Layla and Susie did and they will both be reporting in too from our fun weekend.  I’ll show you their finds tomorrow, but I did find a really fun treasure at a new flea market that just opened up near my house.  Susie and I popped in there this a.m. before she had to head back home and I came home with a vintage somethin-somethin that I just love.  Come back tomorrow for the whole story! 🙂

Don’t forget if you haven’t already to sign up for the pillow giveaway in the post below!  It’s open until Sunday at 2:00 pm Central time.

We spent today following a route on the big 5 state yard sale, but I have been reading about bloggers all over doing this. What’s up??

Love the lamp!! I love owls! Seriously, who would have thought to make such a thing!! LOL!! Congrats on the interview. I am on my way to read it, sweet lady!

Oh they are awful! But, wait, get rid of those shades, find or make one that is vellum…imagine the light at night! then spray paint the owls white/cream white. Ummmm…somebody would think they were IT!

OM Goodness! Its hard to believe those lamps would have been considered decor items. I’m sure they didn’t grace someone’s home but I prefer to think they were probably part of the decor in a wilderness lodge.

Congrats on the Houzz interview, I’m off to read it now. TFS!

I can not believe you came away from the longest sale with nothing! You must have superhuman willpower! Can’t wait to see what you got at the flea!
And congrats on the interview, but it’s no surprise they would want to interview you, and show your lovely home!

I LOVE those lamps and actually have several similar chalkware owl lamps in my Adirondack style home. They go *perfectly* with my ‘woodsy’ decor. I would have snatched those up in a HEARTBEAT!!!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder 🙂
