Jewelry Storage Solutions

Today I’m sharing something that really makes me happy!

I finally got rid of the BIG jewelry cabinet that I had all my jewelry stored in for probably the last 20 years.  It took up valuable floor space in my small walk-in closet and it was definitely too cluttered.  It was time to get rid of some of that jewelry that I’ve been collecting over the years.   And it sure feels great to declutter. I plan to do more of that in the next couple of months and get rid of more excess around here, although when you see my new storage case, you’ll see it’s filled to the brim?

Why do we women love our jewelry so much?

Getting my closet in shape really feels good and I’m going to give you the grand tour (haha, not really, there’s nothing grand about it).  This might be a small walk-in, but I’m happy to have it. I cleaned out my closet and all my clothes fit in here just fine now.

closet 1

My bifold doors hide my closet and it’s just big enough to hold all I need.  The 25 cubby shoe holder I love and it really gets shoes up off the floor where you can see them.  You can find these at many home stores.  Boots and tennis shoes sit on the floor.

Right side of the closet, organized with jackets on the top, along with skirts.  Bottom rack has long sleeved tops and I keep them color coordinated. That tackle box holds my cosmetic collection.  Yes, I have too much of that too.  My sister started me on that trend years ago and a tackle box holds lots of makeup!

left closet 2

Pants on the top rack, along with sweaters and the bottom rack holds short sleeved tops, all color coordinated too.  I have a compact laundry holder than I found at a yardsale.  It all works for me!  There’s also a top shelf that goes all along the top that you can’t see and it holds all my purses and other things.

Wayfair jewelry

Did you notice the pretty white mirrored piece?  This white mirrored piece is one of the best things I’ve ever gotten and what I want to show y’all today.  Working with Wayfair, they asked me to try out a storage piece and I was so excited to get this wall mount jewelry holder that hangs on the wall.  With Christmas coming up, I was challenged to find some hiding places for Christmas gifts.  Could you hide some gifts in this jewelry case?  Of course you can!

I decluttered my jewelry and kept favorite pieces and yes, I do still have a lot of costume jewelry.  But, I do love jewelry and enjoy wearing it with my outfits.  Jewelry truly does make an outfit special.  I’ve had many of these pieces for years.

There are so many hooks in this piece and it is 4’ tall by about 14” wide.  And it isn’t very deep so really doesn’t take up a lot of room on the wall.  It’s the perfect jewelry case for me.  I managed to get it hung up by myself, by propping it on a stool and putting in the wall anchors and screws.

jewelry storage compartment

All my necklaces are hung up and so nice and neat now.  Watches and bracelets also have their own place. At the bottom is a box with dividers that holds smaller items.

rings and earrings

It has a ring holder and plenty of room for earrings.  Most of my earrings are wired, and they just fit right over the slots and sit in here neatly.

hiding presents

So, where do you hide Christmas presents?

This storage piece wouldn’t hold anything big, but you could definitely get a small jewelry box like this size in here, as well as a small Christmas bag or two.   Close the door and no ones the wiser.  Stocking stuffers would fit in here.

little present

I remember my mom hiding our presents when we were kids and I think we found some in her closet one time.  I didn’t usually go looking for presents ahead of time, I liked being surprised.  We didn’t really believe in Santa though, did you?

How about you? Do you hide presents and where to you hide them?  Do your kids (or grandkids)  go looking for Christmas presents?

Wayfair sent me this jewelry organizer for my closet and I absolutely LOVE it!  I’m finally organized now with my jewelry collection and that feels so good.  If you are looking for one of these, I’d highly recommend this one.  I hung it up by myself and it really gives me so much more room in my closet now.  My closet isn’t grand, but it sure is more organized now.

Note:  Wayfair provided the jewelry organizer storage piece for me to share it with my readers, but I wasn’t compensated additionally.

The Lynch Creek Farm giveaway has been posted here on the Rafflecopter widget.  The winner has been emailed!
