Kick Off Your Fall: Fun Outdoor Decor

{Giveaway  is Closed}

The Winner is:  Gina E

Yay, it’s time to celebrate the changing of the seasons, into one of my favorite times of the year.  FALL!  It’s hard not to love Fall, with its crisp cool air in the morning, beautifully changing leaves, and all around great weather.  Every year, this time of the season changing pulls me right in and I get all nostalgic for all of those autumn years I’ve had in the past, reveling in the scents and smells of this wonderful time of year.

So, to get ready for Fall at my new house, I had the opportunity to do a little autumn shopping at Kirklands, a fun décor store that has lots of things to choose from.  It was fun coming up with ideas for my new space for Fall.   I know, I know….I get to do some very fun things and I pinch myself every day.  Somebody has to do it, you know?!

Who says you have to decorate in all the traditional colors of changing leaves?

I have to admit, I’m not one to explode in Fall décor with pumpkins and fake fall leaf swags and wreaths.  That’s just not me.  But, I did have fun with bringing in some Fall warmth and cheer in non-traditional Fall colors.

Let’s pretend I’ve already moved in my house.  I know, it’s a stretch, but just coming in the front door, we can pretend I’m already living in here.  We just won’t go any further for now than the entry way.  We can pretend that I’m not still caulking and putting in trim and touch up painting.

Let’s pretend I’m having  a Fall party!

035

I would welcome my guests with a nice Welcome mat that greets them at the door.

Kirklands welcome mat

Welcome y’all!  This one has rubber edging that should last a long time, will span the seasons, and it has fleur de lis, which I love.

Peacock wreath

For the front door, I chose a pretty peacock feather wreath and at $30, it is very affordable.  While not the typical Fall colors, these beautiful blues and greens can still welcome the autumn season just as much as orange and yellow, don’t you think?   I hung my wreath on a simple clear suction cup wreath hanger, just in case you are wondering.

032

It was so soft and pretty colors that I couldn’t resist.

Kirklands peacock wreath

As much as I love blues and greens, this pretty wreath could go in any spot in my house.  I won’t be able to leave it on the front door because of weather issues, but it will be fun to have around.

049

A wood twig pumpkin is another fun way to welcome the Fall season.  October and Halloween will be here before we can blink.

047

Inside the front door, a blue and white chevron tall vase holds a trio of stately sticks.   These aren’t just any sticks, however, they are prelit branches wrapped with cute little lights.  I can see these out on my porch later on and they plug into an outlet for some pretty ambiance at night.

051

I love the pretty pattern of this tall vase and can see using this in lots of places around the house.

053

This white ceramic garden stool with its puffy tufted dots was just too pretty to resist.  Use it as a side table or put something on top to display, this one will be very versatile.

Kirklands pumpkins

And who can resist lime green and turquoise pumpkins for Fall?  Not me!  These will be a fun addition around the house and even sitting on the front steps, they would be out of the way of traffic.

So, that’s how I’m kicking off Fall this year!

Even though I’m not quite in my house yet, I had a great time on my Kirkland’s shopping spree, gathering some Fall-ish things to get me in the mood for the season.  Now, if I was only finished with my renovation and sitting on the back porch sipping hot cider, that would be the bomb.  I’m almost there….almost!

I can’t wait to see what YOU ALL have to share this year with your Fall links.

But, before we get to that, I have some exciting news!!

Kirkland’s is giving away a $150 giftcard to ONE of my readers so YOU can have a shopping spree too.  Wheeeeeee!!  Doesn’t that sound like fun?!  I love to share all the fun with y’all too.  There’s nothing like shopping with a giftcard, finding treasures and fun things to nest with.

  • Kirkland’s definitely has you covered with home décor and Fall items and they are  a reliable destination for affordable home décor items.
  • If you’re looking to accessorize a buffet table for Fall or put together a memorable tail-gating party, Kirkland’s can get the party started.

All you have to do is visit Kirkland’s and tell me which item on their website that you would LOVE to have if you are the lucky winner of the $150 giftcard.

You can find Kirkland’s on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest, and they would love to have you follow along on their decorating adventures.

OMG! I haven’t visited their site before and hardly go to their store, but I certainly will have to now! I’m so in love with their glass pumpkins and grapevine pumpkins. It would be a tough decision if I could ONLY spend $150!!!

Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway!!

The tufted garden stool is also a favorite of mine, so I would choose that and the ceramic red bird bath…and maybe spend a little extra for a few of those mercury glass pumpkins!

I like the red ceramic floor vase and sea grass vase. Kirklands is a dangerous pace to go……can’t walk in empty handed and leave the same way!

I’ve been looking for a pop of color for my mantle, and I think I found the perfect accent in the Autumn Mist Tree Canvas Print. The vibrant burnt reds in the painting fade down into lush blues and greens–just right for my decor. “Wait,” you say, “your total exceeds your $150 gift card.” BUT, I discovered in the back of Kirkland’s online catalog an offer to receive a 15% discount –FALL15 — so I’m going to use the code, and I’ll even have a little bit left over :).

I think I would have to purchase those cool bar stools with the different color leather seats. They would be easy to clean with having grandchildren around. Thank you for the give a way
