Lantern for the Breakfast Table from CSN

Just a couple of weeks ago, I shared my love of lanterns.  One particular lantern was on my radar and it came from CSN Lighting.  You have probably noticed that CSN has been doing a lot of giveaways all over blogland.  They contacted me a few months ago and asked me if I’d like to collaborate with them on a giveaway too and I said, oh yeah sure, just give me a little time.  So, I sat on the invitation for a little while. Then, when this lantern came along and I saw it on Pure Style Home, I was all set to purchase this beauty for myself, when I remembered the invitation from CSN.  They were very generous and asked me if I’d like to blog about the lantern in exchange for getting it for FREE.  I said a BIG whooo-hooo to that one and they promptly shipped out the lantern to my house.   I love trades like this! 🙂 I hung it myself and absolutely love it.  I think this will now push me into doing a few updates in my kitchen, maybe with some new fabrics I’ve been talking about.  The lantern is just the icing on the cake now.  Hubby even gave it the thumbs up.

It has a beautiful finish and complements my kitchen very well.

So, before you all get totally jealous of my good fortune, let me tell you this bit of news.

NEXT month, in September, I’m going to be doing a HUGE giveaway with CSN for one of my readers.  The prize is $150 to be spent at CSN Lighting and you can either get this lantern OR something else valued up to $150.

Can I get a big squeeeeeal on that one!! I’m so excited to be able to share this fun giveaway with all of you too.  One of you will be very happy, so stay tuned and the giveaway will be coming up in about a month!

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my new beautiful fixture.  I can’t wait to share it with all of you too.

{Disclosure:  I was given the lantern fixture for free by CSN Lighting}.

Your new lantern is perfect over your table, Rhoda. Beautiful!

I have figured out where to put the old breakfast room fixture. Now just to have a minute to get it installed!

Roof sprung a leak over the upstairs guest bath…yippee!:-( Oh well, I need to paint that room and this is a perfect excuse. The light fixture hanging, in another part of the house, may be delayed a couple days.:-), while we ponder the situation….or, it might be good busy work for J, who is always looking for something to do.

Oh my! You share my passion for lanterns! Seven years ago I purchased an old outdoor lantern at a garage sale for $1.00. I loved it with all its rustic charm. When I announced I was going to hang it in the kitchen the whole family said, “OK, she’s gone completely crazy on us now.” It was a wall fixture so I easily installed it myself. For six years I got so many complements on it. Last year I grew tired of it so I trashed it. Soon after I missed it so much I bought a new one that looked so much like it, and the darned thing cost me $180.00! I guess I am crazy.

The lantern style really compliments your breakfast area. The area was already cozy but this lantern completes it.

Gorgeous! I’ve been debating adding one to a room in my house that I am wanting to update the lighting in. This might just give me the push I need!

Congrats on the trade. I love your breakfeast area. I’m especially drawn to the way you stacked your plates and cups. So nice!
