There’s a magazine publication here in Cobb County called Little Black Dress/Little Red Wagon, which features a diversity of local talent and happenings around the county.  The founder and editor is Elizabeth Cossick and she recently came to my house for an interview and photoshoot, featuring my house and my blog in the August issue.  It’s so exciting to get featured in your own hometown and I’m so thrilled each time it happens.  I’ve been in Atlanta Magazine, the Atlanta Journal and Constitution, and now Little Black Dress.  It never gets old, believe me!

The above picture was taken earlier this year when the ATL Journal and Constitution did a home feature and before I moved things around in my living room. Â Here’s a new shot of it now.
Elizabeth sent me the PDF to share with all my readers, since all of you do not live here locally to see the magazine in person, so I’m sharing it today.

Just click the above link to open the PDF with all the pictures!  So happy my dad gets recognition in all this with me and I get to share it all with y’all!  You have all been the biggest cheerleaders for me and I couldn’t do this blog without you all coming back day after day. Thank you for that! I appreciate you all more than you can possibly know!

Oh, your dad looks great in that photo! He’s really got the Southern spirit and communicates it so well….please do more posts on him and his activities; it’s a way of life that is quickly passing away and we should soak it all in while we can–the greatest generation for sure!!!!!!!!!!!! God bless him!

Hello there Graceful Rhoda!! We are all so proud of you, and I both love and get your comment about your career beginning after 50. Your dad and you both demonstrate that we don’t stop with the years — when we stop growing, we stop! Mike (my husband) and I “refired” after ages 58 and 65 with our kayaking business which took off like crazy.
Life is good. Continue on!! XOXO Eva

Rhoda, So proud for all that you have done. You are always so helpful and quick to respond and we all love you!!
And I want to know where you got that grayish mirror behind you and your Dad. I hope it was Hobby Lobby. Maybe there is a chance I can still buy it.
Thanks, Doris
Rhoda says
Hi, Doris, that mirror was from Kirklands a couple of years ago. It’s now in my den.

Congratulations Rhoda, the photos look gorgeous, your house is colourful and fresh and interesting. I followed along with your renovations, they were fabulous posts and also thought how wonderful your dad was in doing all that work at his age…I am sure it is all those fresh home grown organics your parents grow.
I have recently been interviewed for Houzz but yet to make a magazine issue…one day maybe 🙂
