A Little Christmas Bliss with Mary Kay Andrews

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Mary Kay Andrews a few times and she is a delightful lady, spunky and funny.  I’ve also reviewed several of her books in the past and I recently got a copy of Christmas Bliss to read and review and I’ve got a giveaway packet to offer to one of my readers!  Mary Kay is a well known author of chick lit books that are fun to read. She lives here in Atlanta and also loves junking and antiquing, so her books are full of those fun tidbits foo.

Christmas Bliss brings back two favorite characters of Mary Kay’s, antiques dealer Weezie Foley and BeBe Loudermilk, owner of Tybee Island’s Breeze Inn.  Best friends and confidants from Savannah, GA who get into all sorts of trouble together, the story weaves back and forth between the two characters.  Will they be able to sort out their issues with the men in their lives and live happily ever after?   This is a light and breezy story of Weezie’s upcoming Christmas Eve wedding to her longtime love, Daniel, not to mention her best friend, Bebe is due to give birth at any moment.  Weezie hops a plane to NY to visit her soon to be husband, when he is playing guest chef at a prestigious restaurant in NYC.  She barely makes it back in time and then BeBe has a big scare as the love of her life goes missing for a day in his charter boat.

An entertaining read of Southern women’s literature, you’ll enjoy Christmas Bliss this year.

My Christmas Bliss would be to forget the daily challenges, heart aches, and the sad shape of our society’s values for all of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. To concentrate for 48 hours on the Hope in Jesus rejoicing that this is not my eternal home. Wouldn’t true bliss be that joy unmarred by the ways of this world?

Is it possible for me to get a little Southern women’s Christmas entertainment down under here in crispy hot South Australia?
I’d love to win the book if possible please!

Christmas Bliss for me would be for peace and love for all of earth’s creatures, including us- and for all to be treated with respect and dignity.
Same Down Under Julie – in case I qualify for entering down even further south! 🙂

I want to experience that moment of silence, anticipation of the day ahead, of memories past while looking out my window during the early morning hours with coffee in hand. You can see the other homes light up and know Christmas is here!

Love her books!! Would love to win one. My favorite thing for Christmas is just time to unwind a little. Love that the world slows down for a day and I can lounge around with my family.

Oh, my Christmas list is boring this year. I did see some fun pjs in Sears, of all places — those made it to my list . . . .
