A Little Christmas Bliss with Mary Kay Andrews

I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Mary Kay Andrews a few times and she is a delightful lady, spunky and funny.  I’ve also reviewed several of her books in the past and I recently got a copy of Christmas Bliss to read and review and I’ve got a giveaway packet to offer to one of my readers!  Mary Kay is a well known author of chick lit books that are fun to read. She lives here in Atlanta and also loves junking and antiquing, so her books are full of those fun tidbits foo.

Christmas Bliss brings back two favorite characters of Mary Kay’s, antiques dealer Weezie Foley and BeBe Loudermilk, owner of Tybee Island’s Breeze Inn.  Best friends and confidants from Savannah, GA who get into all sorts of trouble together, the story weaves back and forth between the two characters.  Will they be able to sort out their issues with the men in their lives and live happily ever after?   This is a light and breezy story of Weezie’s upcoming Christmas Eve wedding to her longtime love, Daniel, not to mention her best friend, Bebe is due to give birth at any moment.  Weezie hops a plane to NY to visit her soon to be husband, when he is playing guest chef at a prestigious restaurant in NYC.  She barely makes it back in time and then BeBe has a big scare as the love of her life goes missing for a day in his charter boat.

An entertaining read of Southern women’s literature, you’ll enjoy Christmas Bliss this year.

I would rather have an experience than a thing as a gift. Doing something with a loved one is bliss.

I have had this book on ‘hold’ at the library for weeks now. I am ‘not so’ patiently waiting for them to call me that it’s my turn to read it. However, it may be after the Holidays. Maybe I should just try to win my own. Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. Merry Christmas.

My Christmas bliss and also my prayer is for my daughter to be reunited with her children (they are living with me) and that she is able to get her life back on track. I am a great reader and have read some of Ms. Andrews books. My granddaughters and I go to the library once a week as they have become avid readers as well. This would be a great prize to win.
    Thanks for a great blog!

Christmas bliss for me will be coffee and presents with my hubby, a long walk with our dog, and finally spending the rest of the day with our parents.

    Hey Rhoda,

I tried using the widget but it wouldn’t let me leave a comment. My Christmas wish is that my estranged son comes back to us. That would truly be my Christmas Bliss.

All I want for Christmas is my nephew to come home from the hospital as quickly as possible. To have their beautiful family all together in their own home.
