It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whole year since that bundle of joy, Parker baby, came into our lives. Â But, last week on the 17th, she turned one year old. Â She’s a sweet, smiling, busy, mostly happy, full of life little girl and we couldn’t be anymore smitten with her. Â Oh, and she has a temper too, as happens naturally with all babies. They sure don’t have to be taught that emotion. Â She has all of us wrapped around her little finger and I don’t anticipate that changing anytime soon.
So, for her birthday, me, my sister and brother-in-law, and mom all went down for a quick weekend trip to New Orleans. Â Dad stayed home with Renee’s dog. Â He is not much for traveling long distances anymore. Â We celebrated her little family birthday party in the morning and then took off for a Mardi Gras parade, which I’ll share with you later. Â That was fun too!
Lauren ordered some Fox themed things from Oriental Trading Company online, which is a good place for party supplies. Â Since Parker’s middle name is Fox, Lauren has been scoping out all the fox goodies since she doesn’t know when the popularity of foxes might wane. Â Right now, foxes are everywhere!
It was just a simple little party, but really cute, with balloons.
And cupcakes for the kids….like me.  I had the raspberry on top one. 🙂
Parker had her own healthy cake with homemade whip cream and a big pink ONE. Â Lauren is really feeding her healthy foods and trying to minimize sugar and artificial ingredients from her diet.
Philip and Lauren, the proud parents of this little angel birthday girl.
Needless to say, she loved the cake and whip cream and ate most every morsel.
Her paternal grandmother, Karen, got her this cute Pottery Barn monogrammed kids chair. Â It was a hit!
Her cousins on her dad’s side were there too and Elise and Parker put on their Mardi Gras dresses for the parade. Aren’t they cute? Â Parker is really getting the hang of this walking thing now.
Elise adores cousin Parker.
Elise, Parker and Douglas, all first cousins.
Parker in her chair. She is such a cutie!
Before we left that afternoon, we took a few family shots to remember the day. Â My sister, Renee and her hubby, Bruce with Parker.
Mom and Parker.
Me, Lauren, Mom, Renee, Parker, Bruce. Â I’m so glad I blog and keep all these pics for future reference. Â It’s a great way to keep up with our family over the years.
Bruce was throwing her up in the air and she was giggling like crazy. Â She’s a little daredevil and loves a thrill.
So, that’s a wrap on Parker’s birthday. I wanted to share the pics with all of you, since you have been part of our journey too. Â Thank you for caring about our family, means the world to me!
I really cannot believe this little girl is already one year old! I love the family photos!! 🙂 I was looking at the photos, wondering if Parker looks like anyone in your family. I think she kinda looks like your mom, but I’d be interested in who all of you think she looks like!
Hi, Sue, she really has looked like her daddy from birth, but is changing some now. She still has his mouth, for sure, but she has is constantly changing, so who knows who she will end up looking like. It’s interesting to hear what you all say about that too.
Lauren is as beautiful as her mom. It’s a lovely family picture with the four generations together. Treasure it! Happy first Birthdsy Parker!
Rhoda, Parker is getting more adorable each time you post pictures, I think she looks more like your mother than anyone in the family! She is a blessing to be sure. Happy Birthday little Parker Fox! I love the name!
She’s so cute! Love all of her foxy clothes! We got the PB chair for each of our kiddos when they turned 1 too! My daughter still has hers in her room and she is 5 1/2! My son outgrew his (it was well loved), so we passed it along to a friend. Thanks for sharing your family!
How quickly time passes that Parker is now 1 year old. My favorite picture is your mother with Parker.
I adore this entire post. Little Parker has such wise, curious eyes. Has anyone ever told your BIL that he’s channeling Bruce Willis? they both hardly look like grandparents.
Little Parker is such a cutie! I can see why the whole family is smitten with her! Love the smocked Mardi Gras dresses!
Precious. Thank you for sharing with us. The pictures are all great. Memories.
What a little cutie pie! The picture of Parker and your Mom is beautiful – frame worthy for sure!
What a cute party for little Parker! She is adorable and clearly loved having you all around to celebrate her big day!!

seems like you were just saying she was born – a year old – time flies enjoy
Thank you for sweetly sharing this happy occasion. It does my heart good to see your happy family. Such an incredible blessing! The pic of Parker being thrown in the air reminds me of what folks say my dad did to me all the time!
Darling child. She looks more like you than her grandmother!.
What a beautiful family – and a very fortunate little girl to be so loved and cherished.
Parker is a beauty and looks so adorable in every outfit! I love the fox shirt! All the photos were very good, especially the ones of your family. I’m sure several of them will be framed and displayed soon. Thanks for sharing.
