It’s hard to believe that it’s been a whole year since that bundle of joy, Parker baby, came into our lives. Â But, last week on the 17th, she turned one year old. Â She’s a sweet, smiling, busy, mostly happy, full of life little girl and we couldn’t be anymore smitten with her. Â Oh, and she has a temper too, as happens naturally with all babies. They sure don’t have to be taught that emotion. Â She has all of us wrapped around her little finger and I don’t anticipate that changing anytime soon.
So, for her birthday, me, my sister and brother-in-law, and mom all went down for a quick weekend trip to New Orleans. Â Dad stayed home with Renee’s dog. Â He is not much for traveling long distances anymore. Â We celebrated her little family birthday party in the morning and then took off for a Mardi Gras parade, which I’ll share with you later. Â That was fun too!
Lauren ordered some Fox themed things from Oriental Trading Company online, which is a good place for party supplies. Â Since Parker’s middle name is Fox, Lauren has been scoping out all the fox goodies since she doesn’t know when the popularity of foxes might wane. Â Right now, foxes are everywhere!
It was just a simple little party, but really cute, with balloons.
And cupcakes for the kids….like me.  I had the raspberry on top one. 🙂
Parker had her own healthy cake with homemade whip cream and a big pink ONE. Â Lauren is really feeding her healthy foods and trying to minimize sugar and artificial ingredients from her diet.
Philip and Lauren, the proud parents of this little angel birthday girl.
Needless to say, she loved the cake and whip cream and ate most every morsel.
Her paternal grandmother, Karen, got her this cute Pottery Barn monogrammed kids chair. Â It was a hit!
Her cousins on her dad’s side were there too and Elise and Parker put on their Mardi Gras dresses for the parade. Aren’t they cute? Â Parker is really getting the hang of this walking thing now.
Elise adores cousin Parker.
Elise, Parker and Douglas, all first cousins.
Parker in her chair. She is such a cutie!
Before we left that afternoon, we took a few family shots to remember the day. Â My sister, Renee and her hubby, Bruce with Parker.
Mom and Parker.
Me, Lauren, Mom, Renee, Parker, Bruce. Â I’m so glad I blog and keep all these pics for future reference. Â It’s a great way to keep up with our family over the years.
Bruce was throwing her up in the air and she was giggling like crazy. Â She’s a little daredevil and loves a thrill.
So, that’s a wrap on Parker’s birthday. I wanted to share the pics with all of you, since you have been part of our journey too. Â Thank you for caring about our family, means the world to me!
What a great looking family. And Miss Parker is such a cutie. Sweet memories being made.

Happy Birthday Parker! The little chair from Pottery Barn is so cute and I know Parker will enjoy for some time.
What a beautiful baby Parker is. She will appreciate your pics of her & the family when she is older. These are the best times of your lives–when family is together.
Happy Birthday Parker! You have such a beautiful family Rhoda, the picture of your Mom with Parker is my favorite 🙂
Rhoda I will also say my favorite posts are the ones you do about your family, especially baby Parker. She is such a doll and I’m sure I can speak for all your followers when I say we feel like we’re part of your family or maybe it’s we feel your family is part of ours. Have fun with Parker and spend as much time with her as you can, they grow up too fast. Once again, I’m struck by the resemblance between you and Lauren. She got a big dose of Aunt Rhoda genes. Keep up the good work, I only follow two blogs and yours is one of them.
Happy Birthday Parker! Rhoda you are blessed with your family. Thank you for sharing them with us!
Parker is so adorable. I can’t believe a year has gone by!!!!
What a sweet girl! Funny thing, my only granddaughter turned one on 2/2 and I got her the same Pottery Barn Chair for her birthday. She loves hers too!
Parker is one cute little button!
