If you haven’t heard yet, Beth Moore has a new book out, So Long, Insecurity and she’s doing a book club reading on her blog, LPM Blog, so if you’d like to get the book and join in the discussion, click on over for the details. She started a roll call for everyone to add their name and info and then she’ll be discussing the book by chapter. Should be an interesting read and a good book to discuss with other women.
Insecurity is something that I think every woman has struggled with at some time or another. I think I had a worse time with insecurities when I was younger. There’s something about getting older and a little wiser that cures some of that stuff.
Speaking of Ms. Beth, she was in Birmingham on Wednesday for 3 book signings for her new book. Me and a couple of my Bible study girls went and stood in line to meet her and get our books signed. What a treat! She’s just as warm, friendly and gracious as she appears to be from the stage. She’s coming back to Birmingham in December for a Deeper Still conference and I cannot wait for that. This will be my 3rd Deeper Still and I’m sure this one will be just as awesome as the other two were. You can get tickets here for Deeper Still. Better hurry, this event is sure to sell out.
Are you planning to read this one?

I love Beth Moore’s Bible studies. I haven’t read one of her books yet, but I just bought this new one. I’m in the middle of a study at church, but when I’m finished, I plan on starting “So Long Insecurity.” It looks like something that will benefit a lot of women. Can’t wait to hear what you think of it. 🙂

PS. Don’t know if you’ve looked at your site today, but looks like your Photobucket bandwidth was exceeded…lots of error msgs in your banner.

Love Beth Moore and I am already starting the journey.
I agree with you, as we get older and a bit wiser some of the things that matterd before don’t really matter all that much. We gain a new security in who we are and in who God created us to be.

I’m so looking forward to following Beth on her blog. I plan on picking up the book and taking it on our trip this weekend. I went to a Beth Moore simulcast (?) with Shannon at her church last fall….it was awesome! Shannon is really into Beth Moore’s teachings.
What’s up with this photobucket mess? I hope I get some kind of response from our blog designer and I can get it cleared up quickly.
Talk soon!

Rhoda… I’ve not heard from her but I think she and family were leaving for Disney World, read her post yesterday. I’m guessing this photobucket problem stems from Joanna some how. Not sure though. I was able to remove most of the PhotoBucket Pics on my blog but not the one embedded in each post. I went into my LAYOUT, found everything that had the words photobucket and deleted them. You may not be able to do this, with you website. I’m sorry, I hate this also. I never wanted promos on my blog, just for my own personal reasons. I feel victimized by PhotoBucket!
Email me if you want to know how I got rid of some of these buggers!

Wow, looks like you got the PB issue fixed! Tell me how you did it, please!

The UPS man should be ringing my door bell any minute with this book in hand. I am so excited to read it. I’ll probably read it in one sitting if I have my way (which I usually don’t). Can’t wait to join in the discussion. Thanks.

My daughters and I are going to see Beth speak about her new book in Atlanta on April 24th. I can’t wait! It will be great getting to hear Beth, plus, I am excited about my weekend with my girls. What fun! I’m going tomorrow to get Beth’s new book. Love & blessings from NC!

Holy smokes! You got a picture with Beth? I’d take her over Harry Connick Jr. any day! Ha! Have not seen her new book… but did 3 of her bible studies at church in the last 2 years. I love what God does thru her….. and how I change because of it! Can’t believe you met her…. that rocks!

I love Beth Moore, and I just bought this book. Insecurity has been such an issue in my life. I’m excited to have her help as I take a deeper look at this.
What a cute picture of the two of you! I would’ve stood in line to see her, too! And a Deeper Still conference is coming right to Birmingham? Cool!
Have a great weekend, Rhoda!

Living in Houston does have a possible curse of hurricanes, but a bigger blessin of bein a home girl in her live studies.
She has updated her study of “A Heart Like His” – that is our
spring semester study till after Easter. Beth is real about it all,
but her realness comes with God fused enthusiasm. So glad you posted this about our darling girlfriend.

Yeah, I tried to search for paint colors {as well as other home decor items} but it always just comes up with clothes, shoes, etc. Am I missing something? Is there a secret button that allows you to search for just home items that is hiding from me? :p
