Happy spring! Are you ready for the new season? I am always ready for spring since it’s my favorite season of the year. All the trees are budding, daffodils are popping up and the freshness of a new year explodes all over with warmer temps that beckon us outside awhile. We’ve been spending more and more days outside and loving it, especially since we have a new puppy. If you missed her announcement, meet Daisy Mae.
I love decorating our dining room for the seasons and yes I do leave my table set for a long time. It makes me happy to walk down the stairs and see this view every morning.
Our dining room is prominent in the house and it gives me a lot of pleasure to see it decorated for the season and Mark likes it too.
Always fun to pull out my green Bordallo plates that I’ve collected over 20 years ago. I found most of it at TJ Maxx and Homegoods and a few things at yardsales over the years. It’s still pretty to me and those bunny plates are perfect for spring.
It’s a great color to mix with my blue and white too.
I opted for faux flowers and they are so easy. I found these cherry blossoms at Afloral, I’ll link them below. It’s nice to be able to pull these out again year after year. That green thistle came from a shop several years ago so I don’t have a link for it.
I got this gold tray from At Home and thought it looked pretty inside my rattan round tray. The blue box is also from At Home.
Sweet eggs are perfect in this green bunny tray. I’ve had all these pieces for so long, but I still love to get them out.
Place setting.
These are very lifelike blossoms I think.
From above.
Happy Easter!
Sideboard is also decked out with my blue and white. It’s so easy to decorate with, just group it and enjoy.
I found those ginger jars at Ross a couple years ago. Good place to find blue and white.
White candlesticks are from an estate sale.
I found that pretty blue and white platter recently at Tuesday AM.
Views of the foyer, living room and dining room. Our main floor all flows together, it’s not huge but plenty big for us.
Did you spot the bar cart I added to the dining room? You might remember I bought this little cart at Homegoods and it was a natural color. I spray painted it for the screened porch, but it ended up being a little too much on the porch, so I took it back inside and had a brainstorm when I was decorating the dining room for spring and brought it in here. It’s perfect in this little corner!
I loved adding more green and blue here and it looks so fresh for spring. The bar cart color is Valspar Outdoor spray paint in a satin finish, color Oceanic.Â
All of this I had in my stash and it’s nice to shop my basement.
Green plates and faux limes make a nice vignette, perfect for spring! Blues and greens are my favorite colors together.
I hope you enjoyed this fresh spring tour of our dining room. It was fun to use all these elements together. I’ll link everything I can below in case you want to shop my spaces. These are the same items or similar. Those cherry blossoms are linked below. Affiliate links used.
I’m joining my fellow decor friends for a spring blog hop so don’t miss their posts too! It’s so fun to get our tables ready for spring by freshening up our spaces!

I love your table! I, too, have a round dining table and have always purchased round placemats. The rectangle placemats look great. Also, the spray painted bar cart in your dining area is perfect. Thanks so much for your informative blog!

I love your table scape for Easter . I have those exact rabbit plates and have been trying to find out more about them. Where did you purchase them? Thankyou for any info you can give me. I only have 3 of them and would love to buy more. Thankyou and Happy Spring.

HI, Kathy, those bunny dishes were new about 20 to 25 years ago and I found them in TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Marshalls, and sometimes Tuesday AM. They are made in Portugal by Bordallo and they came in several colors, like pink and yellow too. You can find them used on resale sites now and I’ve even found some at yardsales over the years. They are really collectibles now and I’m glad I grabbed all I could at the time. They still are a favorite of mine.
Bev says
I love the placemats . Did you buy them recently ?
Rhoda says
Thank you Bev, no those are old, I found them at a yardsale years ago.

You and Mark have done an amazing job with your home. I always enjoy your beautiful posts. Wondering how many cherry blossom stems you have in the vase. I love the fullness of it, and am planning to order from Afloral soon.
Rhoda says
Hi, Mary, thank you so much! We have enjoyed all the improvements to our home. I bought 5 cherry blossom stems, that seemed to be a good number for fullness in a vase and an odd number always works well.

There’s something sweet and hopeful about a spring tablescape. So fun to pull out treasures collected over the years. I cherish my mother’s Easter basket over 100 years old. Hope you leave your table set throughout the season. The bar cart is a fun statement, as well.
Rhoda says
Thank you Char, I agree. I don’t go out and buy new stuff, it’s fun to use the old and treasured.

Blue and white, plus green and pink! You’re speaking my language! I’ve been in love with Bordallo plates for so long … maybe it’s time to start a collection of my own. Or at least 4 salad plates!!! So excited for you and Mark to welcome Daisy Mae. You’re going to have a wonderful life together. xo

Absolutely beautiful!

Yes, yours is so lovely and beautiful to look at to enjoy. I do the same thing with my dining room. Don’t use it much, but I love to decorate it with the changes of the seasons.

Love your dining room and the fresh spring look. Do you have a source for the taupe and cream runner? Great neutral for year-round use. Thanks!
Rhoda says
Hi, Jan, thank you that runner is old from Ballard Designs.

OMG… Love it all. Your navy walls and dark lampshades made me click right away. I am not a white on white on white girl. I love a touch of black and navy in all my rooms . I also collect blue and white and can incorporate it for any season with other colors and textures. Also I set table scapes all the time and leave them for the pure visual pleasure , as you do. And everyone comments how nice it looks when they visit. Loved everything! Happy Easter and Happy Spring!
