My husband just recently completed cataract surgery in both eyes snd did great. His sight is so much better. Just be prepared for A LOT of eye drops (to avoid infection)! He is so glad he did it at his eye doctor’s first suggestion! Good luck!
Best of luck with your eye surgery.
I just completed my second eye and doing great. I, too, was very aprenshive and not sure what to expect. I hope your doctor and nursing staff are as sweet and professional as mine. Yes, LOTS of drops! But necessary and they decreases over the days, youāll see.. (did you pick up that pun?). The key is gently pulling the lower lid down to form a little pocket to catch the drops, rest the hand holding the drops on the back of the hand pulling the lid and tilting your head back far enough to have your head level to catch it. I know it sounds confusing and there is actually a little video showing it. Just Google how to use eye drops. I thought the no makeup would be tough for me, but the no bending was the hardestā¦..lots of squatting!š
Good Luck!
Good Luck
excellent instructions!!!! Not only seeing more clearly but colors have a cleaner appearance. My ophth. had a chore due to having done exterior surgery for thyroid eye issues. Super light sensitivity but made it comfortable for me if not for him. Prayers for your successful outcome.
It all went great! Yes lots of drop, but I’m prepared for that. I’ll do what I need to do to keep infection away. The team that helped with mine were excellent and so was the doctor. I can’t wait to get my second one done in 2 more months. I have to wait longer due to doctor schedule and mine.
Good luck with your cataract surgery. Did you pay extra to have the Lasik? If not….you’ll still be wearing readers. My husband was told he wouldn’t have to wear readers….but he did. He was a person that could never put in eye drops…but…he soon learned how. He said he had put in a 50 gallon drum of drops…..lol
I did get the upgraded lens, but I thought there was another lens above it and that one I can’t wear. I didn’t hear about lasik too. But I’m prepared to wear reading glasses if I need to. I can deal with that.
Good luck with your cataract surgery. Iām sure it will go well. Thank you so much for introducing me to Sean of the South! I look forward to reading him everyday!
Great news! I know you will be diligent with your drops. That seems to be a major factor in recovery. Hope all goes just as smoothly with your second surgery.
So glad all went well! š
Oh Rhoda, you will be back reading and typing and enjoying life so much more in very little time. Surgery is well worth it! Hope to hear from you soon!! ā„ļø
Hope everything went well with your surgery! Enjoy a lovely Fall weekend.
