Walking into Home Depot this week, these beautiful tulips hit me right in the eye as I came in the door.  I do believe there is hope for Spring now, don’t you? I had to stop and stare at them for just a minute.

I just love tulips! They make me happy.

It’s Valentine’s weekend!  Do you have anything special planned for your Valentine?

Here are a few pics to get you in the mood.

A sweet little votive nestled in red and white sprinkles.  What a cute idea for a special Valentines dinner.

These remind of of old fashioned Valentines Day crafts that we use to do in school.  Oh, the good ole’ days.

I love this pretty green toile mug with the vivid green flowers inside.  What a pretty photo it makes.

How about you and your sweetie?  Got any special plans for the weekend?

We are going to a fun Valentines Day banquet at a church that our friends will be singing at, so that should be a special time on Sunday evening.  We are going to wait until Monday night for our official Valentines Day dinner at a restaurant planned specifically for not having to fight the crowds.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of you!  Hug your sweetie and let him know how much you love him.

IF you subscribe via feed reader, you saw a post about Knobs come across.  That post was scheduled for Monday and I don’t know HOW it showed up in the reader.  So, come back Monday for all the scoop!

And a reminder that I now have a Facebook fan page for Southern Hospitality, so hope you’ll join me there too, if you are into Facebook.  I’m trying to remember to add my new posts over there, so you can stay caught up either way.

Hi, Rhoda… I’m dropping by to wish you a very Happy Valentine’s Day! Sounds like you have the right idea celebrating on Monday when things are calmer. We’re going to celebrate later as well.

Sending you big hugs for Valentine’s Day and always. And I had to hunt and hunt for the Date Ball recipe, but I wanted to be sure to hook back to you! 🙂 I love those things!!!

    Love you much…

    XO,

    Sheila 🙂

    Tulips are my favorite flower.
They are the reason that my husband and I started dating.
He sent them to me anonymously one year and well the rest is as they say history.
Hope you have a grand day.

Love all your Valentine pretties. My husband and I usually excange cards and go to dinner. But, he’s sick in bed with a very bad cold, so chicken soup will probably be his Valentine’s present.

    Happy Valentine’s Day.

We will celebrate Tuesday as the crowds will certainly have died down. I love your pink tulips! They are so pretty and certainly a symbolic message that Spring will return one of these days soon!

My oldest son is moving back home today. Pray for the snow to hold off until he is back here settled in!

    Happy Valentine’s Day to you!

Hi Rhoda – Would you be willing to help out with the Photobucket issue? I saw your blog is back to normal and looks great but I’m clueless as to what to do with mine – Ugh. Thanks a bunch ~ ♥

Yesterday we had snow in middle GA and it was beautiful this morning, but now I’m ready for spring! I set my dining table with a sweet spring tablescape because I just couldn’t wait any longer! We are having a “Valentine’s Weekend”. Tonight we are having steaks at home with our dearest friends, and tomorrow we will shower our children with their gifts and special things all day long. Because we have Monday off from work, we are going to have lunch in Atlanta at a very nice restaurant. I LOVE all holidays and try to make them last as long as possible! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Those tulips just make me swoon…they are my very favorite flower! Doug and I are going out tonight (Sat) to early dinner and then to see the movie Crazy Heart with Jeff Bridges. Our good friend, Scott Cooper, directed the movie…his first ever. So far Jeff Bridges has won the SAG and Golden Globe for best actor and is nominated for an Oscar. I’ll look up S. Hosp. on facebook and join, of course. Also, did you know you can get your blog posts to post automatically to a facebook page? That way you don’t have to remember. It does it automatically!

Lovely pictures Rhoda ! My hub doesn’t get home till tomorrow afternoon, but we’ll be celebrating right here at home with a nice meal, red wine, and chocolate ! Maybe an old movie together, like ‘Casablanca’ – it’s his favorite.

Much love to you and your sweetie.
