Thrifty Treasures 5-6

Time for another party this week!  I saw tons of yardsale signs on Saturday, but I didn’t stop at any. My sister’s neighborhood had a big one and I didn’t even stop by.  I know, can you believe that?  But really, I’m focused on one thing and that is getting in my house, so yardsales will have to wait.  I will thank myself when it comes time to unpack those many boxes that are stored away for me.  I have plenty to decorate with!

But, y’all found some fun treasures last week!  Let’s take a look at some highlights that caught my eye.

Chandy Mary

A recycled chandy from Habitat Restore found a new home with At Home by the Bay.  Look how good she looks now!

CircaDee

Not sure how much these were, but Circadee, picked up these mod tulip chairs, a set of 4.  Groovy throwback to the 70’s, my era. 🙂

Courtney baskets

Courtney reminds us how cheap cute baskets can be at a yardsale.  These were 75 cents, what a deal!

Desk bluebird

A $4.99 desk from Goodwill got a new paint job from Bluebird 1959 and look at her now!

Junkin Junky

Love these newly painted white bamboo etageres.  Spray paint gave them a new lease on life from Junkin Junky.  Now they are stylin’ and pretty!

keeping it cozy

Who can resist a blue Ball canning jar for $7?   Not me and not Keeping it Cozy either.

Kelly

Kelly with Eclectically Vintage scored a whole bunch of treasures for only $20.  These are just a few of them!

Kim

Kim shows how blue and white is always a classic with this antique mall plate for $12.99.  Score!

Marlee

Marlee found these plastic Adirondack chairs abandoned on the side of the road. Who cares if they are plastic?  Again, vivid blue spray paint brought them back to life again.

One More TIme

One More Time found this pretty pottery piece at the thriftstore for only $8.  I’ve always been a lover of handmade pottery and this is by a sorta famous artist, she found out.  Love that!

So, what did YOU find this week?

There are a TON of parties out there to highlight all your projects, so please let’s keep this one about thrifty finds that were bought 2nd hand! Not a great sale from the store, or a recipe, or just a plain project, but 2nd Hand finds only!

And please DO NOT go back in your archives to OLD posts and link up. Let’s keep this party fresh and current! If you have already shared your find in a previous party, DON’T share it again! Please, girls, I don’t want to have to delete links.

  1. Add your permalink to the link list, which is the actual post that you did for this party, NOT your general blog url. To get the actual post, after you publish the post, just click on the title and THAT will be your party post url. PLEASE try to get the correct url in the first time! :)
  2. Please add my button to your post or blog OR at least link back to this post in your post. That’s all I ask. It’s common courtesy to link back to the person having the party, so that all of your readers can find it too.
  3. Please do NOT link to an Etsy shop or something similar (even if you think it’s a fabulous deal) or I will delete the link. This party is for sharing thrifty finds from yardsales, thriftstores, or something along those lines. If I see that your post is not really on track with this theme AND you don’t link back, I’ll delete your link. Sorry, but I’d like to keep the party consistent! IF YOU SEE THAT YOUR LINK HAS BEEN DELETED, IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THIS PARTY THEME.

Again this year, I’ll be highlighting great finds from the party, so if you want your find highlighted, PLEASE link back to the party. Only those who link back will be considered for highlighting the next week. Thanks!

    Rhoda,
This is seriously my favorite party of all time! I love seeing all the fabulous things people score! I want those tulip chairs and bamboo etageres!

So glad you were able to control yourself from hitting all those yard sales. When you unpack your boxes, it will be like Christmas – I had forgotten I even owned some of my things!

Fun to see my $20 haul featured here – I had to pinch myself when she told me the price for everything!

But I do believe my link up tonight is my absolute all time (and that says a lot) find!

Thanks for hosting! Love the chairs found on the road, nothing a little spray paint can’t bring back to life. It always amazes me what people throw out.

Hi Rhoda, I went to a yard sale this weekend but I haven’t posted about my finds yet. And they were awesome! I linked up our garden sink that we got from a trash pile! Thanks for hosting this party. I always like to see what others do with their finds.

Goodness things are coming right along in your “new” home! Pretty soon all the demo stuff will be done and then the fun part starts!

I had hope to have something to contribute this week, but like you, I have other things going on. Also had out of town family here, so spare time was limited.
Thanks for hosting again this week.

You sure are motivated NOT to spot at a yard/garage sale. Good for you indeed. Thanks for hosting Rhoda.
