Time for another party this week! I saw tons of yardsale signs on Saturday, but I didn’t stop at any. My sister’s neighborhood had a big one and I didn’t even stop by. I know, can you believe that? But really, I’m focused on one thing and that is getting in my house, so yardsales will have to wait. I will thank myself when it comes time to unpack those many boxes that are stored away for me. I have plenty to decorate with!
But, y’all found some fun treasures last week! Let’s take a look at some highlights that caught my eye.
A recycled chandy from Habitat Restore found a new home with At Home by the Bay. Look how good she looks now!
Not sure how much these were, but Circadee, picked up these mod tulip chairs, a set of 4. Groovy throwback to the 70’s, my era. 🙂
Courtney reminds us how cheap cute baskets can be at a yardsale. These were 75 cents, what a deal!
A $4.99 desk from Goodwill got a new paint job from Bluebird 1959 and look at her now!
Love these newly painted white bamboo etageres. Spray paint gave them a new lease on life from Junkin Junky. Now they are stylin’ and pretty!
Who can resist a blue Ball canning jar for $7? Not me and not Keeping it Cozy either.
Kelly with Eclectically Vintage scored a whole bunch of treasures for only $20. These are just a few of them!
Kim shows how blue and white is always a classic with this antique mall plate for $12.99. Score!
Marlee found these plastic Adirondack chairs abandoned on the side of the road. Who cares if they are plastic? Again, vivid blue spray paint brought them back to life again.
One More Time found this pretty pottery piece at the thriftstore for only $8. I’ve always been a lover of handmade pottery and this is by a sorta famous artist, she found out. Love that!
So, what did YOU find this week?
There are a TON of parties out there to highlight all your projects, so please let’s keep this one about thrifty finds that were bought 2nd hand! Not a great sale from the store, or a recipe, or just a plain project, but 2nd Hand finds only!
And please DO NOT go back in your archives to OLD posts and link up. Let’s keep this party fresh and current! If you have already shared your find in a previous party, DON’T share it again! Please, girls, I don’t want to have to delete links.
- Add your permalink to the link list, which is the actual post that you did for this party, NOT your general blog url. To get the actual post, after you publish the post, just click on the title and THAT will be your party post url. PLEASE try to get the correct url in the first time!
- Please add my button to your post or blog OR at least link back to this post in your post. That’s all I ask. It’s common courtesy to link back to the person having the party, so that all of your readers can find it too.
- Please do NOT link to an Etsy shop or something similar (even if you think it’s a fabulous deal) or I will delete the link. This party is for sharing thrifty finds from yardsales, thriftstores, or something along those lines. If I see that your post is not really on track with this theme AND you don’t link back, I’ll delete your link. Sorry, but I’d like to keep the party consistent! IF YOU SEE THAT YOUR LINK HAS BEEN DELETED, IT IS PROBABLY BECAUSE IT IS NOT IN LINE WITH THIS PARTY THEME.
Again this year, I’ll be highlighting great finds from the party, so if you want your find highlighted, PLEASE link back to the party. Only those who link back will be considered for highlighting the next week. Thanks!
Thanks for including my etagere’s in the highlights!
This is my absolute favourite party! I love and have some serious envy when I see some of the great things people find.
Thanks for having a ‘show thrifted’ finds party. I love looking at and reading about what other collectors are finding. Thanks for hosting.
I would never have thought to use spray paint to freshen up those plastic chairs! Genius, they look marvelous.
$7?!?! I got 2 of those blue Ball jars for $1 each yesterday! I would never pay $7 for one.
That’s some definate discipline to pass up a yard sale! But, I know you have your eye on the prize. A finished house!
Thanks for a great party, Rhoda. I’m having a good time checking out all the finds!!
Love all the features here especially that typewriter….I’m drooling. Thanks so much for hosting Rhoda.
Hi! Thanks for hosting this party. I linked up for the first time and of course I pasted in the WRONG link 🙁 Sorry! I’m post 42, Lantern Lamp. The correct link should be: http://www.somethingtobefound.com/2012/05/lotta-lamps.html
What a newbie mistake!
Thanks again for hosting, Rhoda! This is such a fun party…I’m dying over those etageres! Amazing!

Thanks for featuring my desk this week Rohda! Yours was the first blog I found when I got curious about them on RMS – needless to say I’ve been hooked ever since. So excited to see what you do with your new home – I know it will be inspiring! Jane
I read your blog, but somehow I missed this party….don’t know how I managed that! I am going to hurry and finish my thrifty finds post so I can join in….thanks for hosting this great party. Lori
Rhoda! I love this series about thrifty treasures! Thanks again for the great photos!
Great highlights! I love this party, Rhoda…it gives me even more reason to shop, right?! lol I don’t know why my image isn’t showing (again). I tried to delete/redo but didn’t have the option. Sorry about that. 🙁
Thanks for highlighting my tulip chairs. I was thrilled with that find. Can you believe they were at a yard sale? I’ve added my latest finds to this week’s party!
