{Giveaway is Closed!}
The Winner is: #4, Sheila Fitzgerald. Congrats, Sheila!
Have you heard about this new thing called The Bagster bag?
I started hearing about it last year, but didn’t get the chance to try it out until now. Bagster gave me a giftcard to use to buy a bag and for the pickup and with all the junk around my house right now, this really came in handy!
The Bagster is great to use if you have a small project with debris you need to get rid of. At $29.95 retail for the bag and flat rate collection fee ranges from $79 to $249 per bag, depending on your area (my area is $99), that’s 50 to 70 percent less than a dumpster rental.
The Bagster got rid of that big pile of wood we ripped out of my house, as well as a few other things that we had sitting around. It was nice to see all of that go. Even though I will still have a lot of junk to remove at the end of my kitchen project, this was a good start to de-junking my new house. Having all of this hauled off just feels good!
The Bagster is sold at most of the home improvement stores, like Home Depot and Lowes, as well as Walmart. The company that picks it up is Waste Management. The bag comes wrapped like this, very small and unassuming.
Then you unfold it and it grows and grows, to about 4’ x 8’ with sides that can be pulled up higher once the bag is filled. It was a very easy process and I’d highly recommend The Bagster bag for your smaller home renovation or home cleanup projects.
We got my friend Debbie’s son, Andrew, to come back over and he and my dad got busy stacking in that old wood. It helped to have 2 people working at it, to make sure every inch was taken advantage of and stacking it straight and flat helped get more in there.
In a short time, the bag was filled. It can hold up to 3,300 lbs. so we didn’t completely max it out, just in case the weight might be an issue.
Those sides can fold up even more to get the maximum benefit.
Here it is all finished and filled and the handles cross over the middle waiting for pickup. We got lots in there, including the old kitchen sink!
All I had to do is call Waste Management and they came out in just a couple of days and picked it up and hauled it off.
Easy peasy and no hassle at all! I would definitely use this product again for similar projects.
(not my pickup, but an example of how it’s done)
Quick and easy! I really like The Bagster and how it works and would definitely use it again for any smaller projects I have around the home.
Some things to know about The Bagster bag:
- Highly durable, woven bag that can hold up to 3,300 pounds of debris and big enough for full sheets of plywood, doors and even a bathtub (I added a sink!)
- It’s a great choice for any home improvement project, since many times construction debris can’t be picked up in a regular trash can.
- Use the bag for as long as you need it and then call Waste Management to pick up the bag.
- Collection can be scheduled online at www.thebagster.com or by calling 1-877-789-2247, and Waste Management will collect the bag within three business days.
Now for some more great news! Waste Management is giving away $100 giftcard so that ONE of my readers can try out The Bagster bag too! Do you have a project you’re working on and need to have your junk hauled away?
Leave a comment on this post telling me what project you might be working on in the near future and how you will use the $$ for The Bagster bag at your house!

This bag would be wonderful when we clean out our garage and storage building.
Would love to try the Bagster! Have two projects – one putting in wood floors and one come in handy to haul off old caret and two cleaning out the garage this Fall.
I would LOVE to use this bagster to clean out the garage before my husband returns from his deployment in October! He’s a bit of a garage stuff hoarder and this is my big chance to organize before it’s too late 🙂
Awesome product! Thanks for chance to enter.
Wow, that is really neat! We’re cleaning our garage/shed out soon and have a lot of old wood, shelving and junk to get rid of. This would come in really handy instead of pickup loads…:) Thanks!
Finally getting ready to tear out a horrible, ugly bathroom – Hooray – This would be perfect for all the debris. . .
What a great idea! We are currently renovating our family room–it had a bad case of the ’80s-and could really use this to dispose of all the concrete block and tile we have taken out.

Garage is in need of a GREAT cleanup……….this would help so much!!!
My husband likes this idea. It would have been really handy in our storage management days.
Thanks for writing about your excellent experience with the Bagster. I’ve seen them in several driveways and wondered if this might be my best choice for the purge I have planned for my basement, which must be done pronto since it just flooded.
We were thinking of using Bagster, but if you read the reviews on Amazon, they have a lot of unhappy customers 🙁 I think we will just make a few trips to the dump.

I would so love to win this! I have a basement full of stuff to clean out! This is something I have putting off due to the expenses involved, but this could help me get the job done!
This would be such a great help as we are about to rip carpet off 2 stairways to do a paint & stain Reno!!
