Treasures for the week

I was going to take a break this week from yardsaling. Really, I was! There was one little sale I checked out at a church on Friday & then I wasn’t going to go to anymore Saturday a.m. But, after going to the gym & running some errands, it was already after 10:30 & I saw a sign…pointing down a neighborhood road. So, I thought why not…I’ll just stop & check it out. Well, of course, I found things I just had to have. There was some really nice things there that I couldn’t pass up. These faux pears & pomegranites were in an iron basket. 8 pears & 3 pomegranites, $5.00 with the basket too.
So, I took the faux fruit out of the basket & left the basket here beneath the livingroom table, added a piece of lace I had stashed & put our wedding & honeymoon photo albums in here. I think it adds a nice little touch. Took the fruit out & put it under the cloche on the DR table. The birdsnest & eggs had been there since Spring, so it was time for something new. These pears look SO real! They are a very nice quality. I was even thinking about lining them up on the fireplace mantel for something different too.
This mirror was a great find at $10.00. It has a sticker on the back from a place called Urban Evolutions in Menasha, Wisconsin. I found them on the web & they sell to the trade only. There’s no telling how much this was originally. They were asking $15 & I got it for $10. It’s made from old tin ceiling tiles. I had to move another gold antique mirror I had in this spot, but this one really adds a lot to this guestroom, so it’s staying.

Picked the globe up at the church yardsale for $1.00. It has a nice old look to it & is probably about 20-25 years old, according to my hubby, who looked to see which countries had changed.
I added it to the top of the entertainment center.
And, one more little bunny, he’s concrete & I’ll find a place for him outside. He was $3.
Just had to show you the continuing blooms of the hibiscus, along with the limelight hydrangeas. They are a beautiful sight when they are all blooming.
Hope you all have a loverly week!
