First things first! I’m on my way to the beach today, heading down to Panama City beach with 2 of my girlfriends for a few days. Oh, how I love the beach and can’t wait to hang out in the sun and sand and enjoy that beautiful turquoise water again. Of course, I’ll take lots of pics and share when I get back!Â
In the meantime, I’ll share something fun with you today that I just received.
I never know what’s coming through my email on any given day. I recently got an email from a company telling me they wanted to send me a case of blue Ball canning jars to do something with, so of course I said yes! I happen to have a few of the real vintage ones in my collection and I was happy to hear that they are making these again as a special collection. We are all in love with blue Ball jars, aren’t we?
This year Ball is excited to introduce a limited-edition, vintage-inspired jar, the Ball Heritage Collection Jar. Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Ball brothers’ Perfect Mason Jar, a first-of-its-kind blending of jars, lids and bands, the Ball Heritage Collection Pint Jars feature a pretty blue tint and embossed logos on the front and back.  You can find them at the link above and they are only available for a limited time.
I couldn’t resist adding some of my fresh flowers from the photo shoot in them and seeing how they sparkle and shine. The blue tint is so pretty!
Embossed as always with the Ball logo, they are perfect blue pints. My mother is a canner, so I’ve been so used to seeing Ball canning jars around our house for as long as I can remember. These blue ones are just fun to have.
I’m happy to have them in my decorating stash and even though they will never be used for canning, there are lots of things to do with them. Vases for one, drinking glasses for another. I can definitely see these out on the porch this year!
I received this case of jars for free, but wasn’t compensated for writing about it and wanted to share this info with all of you.

Love these, the color is beautiful. I have quite a few of the old jars that I use in my decorating and to hold buttons and ribbons in my sewing room. But I got some of these to do canning with. I am actually going to attempt to can some this summer and also got some of the freezer style jars for putting fruit and jam up. Thanks for the beautiful flower arrangement pictures and have a great time at PCB. One of my favorite places on earth.

So pretty, Rhoda! I first heard about blue Ball jars this past Saturday on a show called Kitchen Crashers. They use the blue Ball jars to make a wonderful-looking chandelier.
Have a great time at the beach!

Ooohhhh!! Thank you so much for posting this! I’m so happy to hear that I can get them locally too. I had seen a way to dye jars on Pinterest to look like this, but I haven’t tried it. At the price Kmart has them at, I’ll have to go get some.
