Did I mention that I love ice cream? Well, I do. Love it lots. Ice cream and me go way back. I have always loved ice cream. Me and hubby have been going to Bruster’s lately (about once a week) & getting waffle cones & boy is it yummy! Of course, it helps that this is in place of dinner some Sunday nights. They keep sending out these, buy one, get one coupons…how can we resist? We can’t! Is there anything better than that creamy, delectible, wondrous stuff called ice cream in the summer? I don’t think so. No way. No how.
My particular favorite from Bruster’s is White Turtle. This is considered a single scoop…aren’t they generous? It’s a creamy vanilla wonder with swirls of caramel & pecans & is just about the most scrumptious thing you could ever put in your mouth. Ice cream is my downfall. I could eat lots & lots of it. But, I don’t. I’d have to work out a whole lot more than I do to keep this off my hips if I ate as much as I wanted. It sure is a treat though. Especially with the heat the way it is this week, 100+! Yikes!
Do you love ice cream too? Tell me you do…what’s your favorite flavor? I bet we have some more this weekend! Gotta eat it fast in this heat.
P.S. Work is really going good. I’m continuing to enjoy the job, the people & what I’m doing. Nice to feel productive again!

I love ice cream too! When I saw your post, it reminded me of the ice creams we get at Cold Stone Creamery. Yum, we haven’t been out for ice cream in a while, and I may try Bruster’s.
Glad to here that your new job is going well. It’s so great to enjoy what you do. Have a great weekend!

Goodness! That’s a large single scoop – I’d have to ask for a child’s cone or something! I’m a Haagen-daz girl, but I’m not crazy about ice cream. I have it a couple of times a year. Now, pies & cakes I could eat everyday!

I guess I’m pretty boring as far as ice cream goes. I like vanilla. Any brand. I’m a vanilla kind of girl, I guess.

Oh my ~ that looks delicious! I love lots of flavors, but plain old strawberry is my all time favorite.
Thanks for the brass to bronze how-to. I have lots of brass fixtures that I’d love to change to a bronze finish.
Have a lovely weekend!

It’s not my fault that there is SLOBBER all over this post! We bought a White Mountain Ice Cream maker this summer….it makes the CREAM-EE-IST ice cream! I’m not much on vanilla but he made a really good recipe the other day…..we ended up making another batch & we doubled the amount!

I love any flavor as long as it has chocolate of some kind in it. Of course I love cherry and mint and vanilla too. Ok, maybe I like any flavor LOL! But my favorite is vanilla with peanut butter stirred in. My grandma always had it that way when I was little and we had a bowl each night, so it always reminds me of her.:>)

oh I absolutely LOVE ice cream…I could too just live on it alone. it’s my downfall. I could live without candy, pies or cakes…but never ice cream. My favorite flavor is Dulce de Leche…or i also love Coffee. When I was in high school I could eat a whole half gallon….really. How sad am I. Glad your job is going well…..love your style of house and if I ever go to visit my inlaws in Alabama, (Foley) you’ll have to come down to the coast to visit me…OK? And IF we ever move to AL I would hope we would become good friends.

Oh yeah! Bruster’s and I are like BFFs. I go for the regular Turtle. The caramel, the chocolate, the nuts…yum!
Now, I wish they’d send me some coupons.

Rhoda, you are making me very hungry for something sweet. : ) Yes, I do love ice cream as well. My personal favorite is chocolate chip mint. No matter how many flavors are available, if there is chocolate chip mint, that is the one I’ll pick.

Hi Rhoda…One of our favorite ice cream places is Central Dairy in Jefferson City MO. We make the stop coming from the lake on Sunday afternoons. Central is a very popular place anytime of year, but especially in summer. Their single dip looks like the one in your photo. Moose Tracks is a favorite of mine. Rich vanilla ice cream, chunks of chocolate and chocolate coated peanut butter. J’s is butter pecan. Central makes their own ice cream. I love their chocolate milk..so good. But can’t have it or the ice cream too often!!
Good to hear the job is going well!

Hi Rhoda,
Oh how I love ice cream. My all time favorite is mint chocolate chip. When we lived in Nebraska though there was a Culvers and they had the best vanilla custard with cashews and warm caramel sauce. OMgoodness. SO good. We’ve often replicated the recipe and have it home but I don’t keep caramel in the house any more because we were making it too much!
Glad that all is going great still at your new job!
Have a great weekend.
