Feature Friday: A Pop of Pretty

Meet Kerri, from Canada and A Pop of Pretty.  I couldn’t help but admire her beautiful home tour when I came across her blog this year.  She’s clearly not afraid of color and I like women like that, who know what they like and aren’t afraid to do it in their own homes.  Colorful homes can be so happy and cheerful and welcoming and I think Kerri’s home is all of that.

Kerri painted her front door a pretty robin’s egg blue and adding those stripes of greens and blues on her porch.  Lovely!  Another gal who loves greens and blues.

Inside her foyer, Kerri has added pops of sunshine yellow.  Isn’t this a happy spot to land?

living room

The family room is painted Woodlawn blue with browns and creams as accents and it looks to be a casual comfortable space.

pillows

Love these colors together.

fireplace

And her fireplace mantel is beautifully arranged.

kitchen

The kitchen is white, near and dear to my heart and check out the blingy chandeliers above.

kitchen cabinets

Beautiful cabinets with a pretty gray on the walls.

kitchen door

And another robin’s egg blue door in here.

craft room

Kerri’s craft space has lots of storage in pink and black.  I spy an Ikea Expedit bookcase, exactly what I’m looking at for my office closet storage.

desk chair craft room

I imagine she gets lots of inspiration in this space.

Her daughter’s room is pink and green, so girly and sweet.

Kerri is one busy mama, with twin boys in this pretty nursery.  How she has time to do all these projects, I have no idea!

She’s made their nursery very sweet and special for two little boys.

play room

And finally, the basement playroom is equally pretty with pops of color.

Beautiful job, Kerri, on your inspiring home.  I love seeing how other folks live and Kerri’s home is very creative and colorful.  Stop over and stay hello to Kerri, I know she would love to meet you.

Thanks for the great post! I have been looking for the perfect color for my living room walls, and her door color is it!!! I want to do the walls robin’s egg blue, with the bright green accents. I just haven’t found the correct color, until now, for the walls. My DS 12yo, calls our our walls glob painted, since I have so many different globs of paint on them now. I love seeing how other people decorate, and you helped me finish my project.

Really cute home! I’m pleased to see a house with small children that actually has practical looking furniture! Thanks so much for this post!
