The Winner is: #18 Linda
Did you hear the big news?
Annie Sloan is here in the U.S. and is making her way around the country, teaching workshops on how to use her famous Annie Sloan chalk paint in her first ever North American tour! As a new user of Annie Sloan chalk paint, I can tell you I have really enjoyed using it on furniture. So far, I’ve painted curtain rods and my sister’s orange craft table (which I’ll be sharing the finale of later this week). The paint is great and I love working with it. Especially now that I’ve got the wax part down pat.
I have been hearing she is coming to Atlanta and it sounded like an exciting event. It’s an all day event next week (from 8:30 to 5:00 pm), on March 29th, down in Peachtree City, just south of Atlanta. Tickets include breakfast and lunch and all the workshop materials.
There is still time to sign up for the workshop if you are in Georgia or any surrounding areas. I know it’s going to be so much fun!
Are you ready for the excitement?!
I can hardly wait to tell you this one!
Annie Sloan Unfolded, the international distributor for Annie Sloan Chalk paint and Robyn Story Designs, one of the premier Annie Sloan stockists in Florida (who will be helping teach the workshop), is giving away a fabulous prize package that you are going to be over the moon excited about!
OK…..I am about to die because I’m getting a free ticket to attend the workshop here in Atlanta AND get this….
One of YOU will get a ticket too!
What is up for grabs? Everything in the picture above including 2 quarts of Annie Sloan paint, clear and dark wax, brushes, those beautiful knobs, colorcharts, gilding wax AND MORE!
Can you still enter even if you can’t come to the Atlanta workshop? YES, you can! IF the initial winner drawn can come to the workshop, they will get the prize package AND the free ticket to the workshop.
If that person cannot come to the workshop, I’ll draw another winner for the ticket giveaway only. Does that make sense?? I promise, it will be fair to all!
Here’s how you can win, leave a comment for each one:
- Leave a comment on this post and tell me IF you can attend the workshop here in Atlanta on March 29th and WHY you are so excited about going to the Annie Sloan workshop?
- Go and visit Robyn’s blog, look at the Annie Sloan paint colors and tell me which one you are dying to try?
That’s it! I’ll leave the comments open through the weekend and choose a winner late Saturday evening.
Check out Annie Sloan Unfolded for the retailer nearest you!

I would love to attend this class. I’ve recently retired from law enforcement and my birthday is March 30th. I have a piece of furniture that I would love to use cream and graphite on, with some upholstery tacks as contrast. Pick me, pick me!
I would not be able to attend the workshop that weekend 🙁 I live out of town and have birthday plans.
Would love to paint my armoire Old Ochre.
i love the annie sloan products i would love to winn!! my 2 year old has a brain disorder and i haven’t done hardly any arts and crafts since he has been born. it is so important to be creative, but i just haven’t been taking the time for it. this would force me to be creative. i looove chalk board paint i put it on anything that doesn’t move. how great to have a day for myself. it sounds like so much fun!!
chalk paint starter kit level 2 and the books look like fun. i could attend the class too. sounds like such a fun day!!
I’m pretty sure I could go! that would be amazing!!!! Thanks for the great opportunity!
the colors are SO exciting. The last piece I did was in a blue, I might have to try the barcelona (orange) or the soft mellow moss green. I love them all.
I cannot attend but really wish I could!
I would love to try emperor’s silk.
I have wanted to try ASCP, but I have had to settle for my own mixture…LOL… Sadly, I could not attend the workshop, However, I have a little dresser that would look great with Emile on her…It is such a Beautiful, Rich color…thanks for the wonderful opportunity…hopefully I will get to try the real deal for a change…SMILES!!!
I would love to go to the workshop to learn all of the best techniques to use with Annie’s paints. I would love to do a piece in Emperor’s Silk. Thanks for the opportunity! Vickie [email protected]
I can attend the workshop! I live about 20 minutes from the site! I looked at the conference information about a week ago, but unfortunately on a teacher’s salary, I can not afford to go! I just started using the chalk paint and love it! However, I need to learn about waxing! I really want to get into more furniture and hopefully earn a little extra money this summer by selling some pieces. Please consider me! I also can’t wait to meet you!
I looked at the choices and I have been dying to try Duck Egg!
Unfortunately, I would be unable to attend the workshop (although I’d love to), but I know someone else would be happy to win that part of the package – I’m dying to try out the paint. The duck egg blue looks just yummy! Thanks!
Rhoda,
I would love the opportunity to go as I too love AS paints andyour Southernhospitality blog. Unfortunaely, I will not be able to get away that weekend from Northern VA. I would however, put the basket of AS products to good use. I read the previous comments and was surprised to see another woman who had retired from law enforcement. Seems many of us may have had careers that may not have allowed our creative sides to flourish but there is no stopping our creativity now.

I can attend! I’m from Athens, GA. Do you ever swing by any of our antique shops here? If you’ve never been to REEDS outside Athens, you’d love it!
I would be very excited because a few months ago I purchased a couple of cans of AS chalk paint and a book but haven’t had the chance to try them! I guess I’m kind of scared I’ll screw up!! So…. I need to learn how to use it and I’d love to get more! I really want the pretty Robins egg blue!
we all love to refinish furniture in our house. we love the chalk board paint. i can make it to the class. i love that the paint is green, and is not as bad for the environment as other paints.
I can’t wait to try the Pure White and Graphite. I’d like to mix together for a soft, but deep, gray on our fireplace!
Provence is gorgeous!!!
