It’s been 7 years since we went on the beach trip to Tybee Island that was so much fun. Since summer is here, I thought you’d enjoy a peek at Mary Kay Andrews Breeze Inn again. It will get you in the mood for a beach trip for sure. Please note, the giveaway was long ago, this is not a current post!
******************************************

I hope you are not tired of seeing these beach cottages on Tybee Island, because I warned you I took lots of pics.  They are too beautiful not to share!  One of the cottages that our group stayed in on Tybee Island with Mermaid Cottages was The Breeze Inn, another of Mary Kay Andrews beach cottages.  It’s such a beauty with an old style beach feel, just as you’d expect from a 60’s beach resort. That’s the feel some of these cottages have. I love the nostalgia created on Tybee and it truly is a fun getaway.  I can’t wait to go back!

The Breeze Inn. Doesn’t this pic just make you smile?

Inside is a welcoming beach cottage chock full of vintage goodness.

Bookcases filled with books and slipcovered chairs.

The living room is a happy mix of coral, blues, and greens. Those cute vintage shutters make the space so quaint.  Check out those lamps, too cute.

I grew up on the Gulf Coast and have a degree in architecture, so it’s no surprise that the coastal architecture is my favorite thing about Tybee Island! My wedding anniversary is just before Memorial Day, so this would be a fantastic weekend getaway for us!

There’s something about the rich history Tybee Island has to offer that makes the island amazing all on its on. But the calmness of the beaches, the shopping and the delicious food you can find is like none other.

Rhoda, Thanks so much for sharing with us, Mary Kay’s Tybee. I love her books and I love her decorating style. I love the charming ambiance combined with the nostalgic feel of all that is good about America is wrapped up in Tybee. Its that feeling of “all that is right with the world.” I love her vintage touches and thrifted treasures. Her homes envelopes you like a warm blanket. Tybee seems like the best place to unwind and rediscover yourself. Thanks for the generous giveaway Rhoda and Mary Kay!

Tybee Island is the perfect setting for a Sisters Getaway! My two sisters and I would probably spend our entire visit oohing and aahing over every single detail in the cottage. I can just imagine strolls on the beach, wine on the porch, and relaxing dinners at low-key restaurants. Heaven!

Of course all the cottages and how they are decorated. I love a “themed” house especially a rental, vacation home, etc. Lots of ideas to use in my own home!

Thanks Rhoda, always a pleasure to read your blog!!
