It’s been 7 years since we went on the beach trip to Tybee Island that was so much fun. Since summer is here, I thought you’d enjoy a peek at Mary Kay Andrews Breeze Inn again. It will get you in the mood for a beach trip for sure. Please note, the giveaway was long ago, this is not a current post!
******************************************

I hope you are not tired of seeing these beach cottages on Tybee Island, because I warned you I took lots of pics.  They are too beautiful not to share!  One of the cottages that our group stayed in on Tybee Island with Mermaid Cottages was The Breeze Inn, another of Mary Kay Andrews beach cottages.  It’s such a beauty with an old style beach feel, just as you’d expect from a 60’s beach resort. That’s the feel some of these cottages have. I love the nostalgia created on Tybee and it truly is a fun getaway.  I can’t wait to go back!

The Breeze Inn. Doesn’t this pic just make you smile?

Inside is a welcoming beach cottage chock full of vintage goodness.

Bookcases filled with books and slipcovered chairs.

The living room is a happy mix of coral, blues, and greens. Those cute vintage shutters make the space so quaint.  Check out those lamps, too cute.

We sure loved gathering in here and seeing all the cottages up close.  The 4 Pike Road, AL ladies stayed in this cottage and they loved it.  I can see why. It’s so charming and adorable.

Love these cottages and it’s such a treat to see real life homes that mirror the places that Mary Kay writes about in her books.

I think these cottages are absolutely adorable, Rhoda, and even though I live in Florida, it would be a hop, skip, and a jump up the road to Tybee. We are always looking for places to visit with the godchildren and their family, and also other relatives and friends. I would love to see this in person as the colors and the whole whimsical vi be is right up my alley. I adore it! Thanks for a chance to put my name in the hopper. I would love to win as I know e tine would!

The thing I would like most on Tybee would be the relaxation. It has been a long winter!

    Rhoda,
What can I say, I’m dying to go!!! My favorite from all the pics is the “VINTAGE CHARM” that I am seeing, and you know how I love that. These cottages are just too dang cute my friend.

    Blessings,
    Linda

LOVE this place!! Visited back in 2005 when my son played college baseball in Savannah. Oh how I would love to go back…and you have no idea how bad I need the beach right now..Thanks for the chance to win and sharing this wonderful adventure with us. The pictures are just wonderful and makes me feel as if I had been there. Thanks again for your blog…a chance to “get a way” from real life for just a bit.

I would love to spend a mother and daughters weekend in Tybee Island. My 86 year old mother has read all her life and was overjoyed at receiving a nook for Christmas…now my sister’s share their books with her and one of their favorite author’s is Mary Kay Andrews! Tybee Island would make these books come alive for them….it would be lovely to spend a weekend living in one of these storybook cottages….such a blessing to still have my mother and all my sisters together…I think my favorite thing about Tybee is seeing all of the bloggers enjoying a wonderful weekend together in such a beautiful setting….so inspirational….Thanks So Much for Sharing your weekend.

I would love to spend time at Tybee reading a novel on a porch. On every beach vacation we take, my kids adore getting up early, finding a bakery, and taking donuts out to a pier to watch the start of the day take hold.
It has been a long, cold winter!

I love, love, love the way the cottages are decorated. They each look like somebody’s home…all of the vintage items are so fun and the pretty fabrics! I so, so, so want to win this trip. (I spent a while yesterday at the mermaidcottages site clicking on the cottages, listening to the music with each little video and just felt like I had been there.) I also thought what a great thing your posts are for advertising. I am sold! I WANT to go!

Love the casual atmosphere, feels like it would be welcoming to anyone. So often, there is emphasis on glamorous and grand these days, and I am not that kind of person. Tybee and Savannah are on my bucket list this year, since we had to postpone due to Mr. having back surgery.

I have wanted to go to Tybee Island ever since I started reading Mary Kay’s books and that was years ago…I just think I would love the whole vintage beach feel of the cottages and the peace of the sea and sand. I love beach sand…I could just sit it in and run my feet through it for hours.

I love the vintage architecture of the cottages – both original and replicated – and I love the charming decors that have been created inside.

Love the beauty of Tybee!! I’ve had dinner there but never stayed on the island. How awesome it would be to stay in one of MKA’s beautiful cottages! Thanks for the chance!!
