Some things come in small packages and that is the case with a brand new book!
Country Living Little Book of Big Decorating Ideas
I love getting the chance to review these décor books up close and personal and this one is so tiny and cute. A little square book packed with decorating ideas! What fun.
The tag line is 287 clever tips, tricks and solutions and they are right. Each page is numbered with a great idea for decorating, from quirky, to found objects and recyling, there’s an idea for every design enthusiast.
It’s tiny and square, about 6” square. From the editors of Country Living, one of our fave magazines, you’ll find tips on hundreds of ideas to tap into your home’s full potential.
Pages 68 and 69: Bathroom ideas and fireplace plans.
Pages 99 and 100: Birdcages and quirky clothes pins.
Pages 117 and 118: Painted stairs and upholstery ideas.
Pages 216 and 217: Color ideas for the living room and bedroom.
Pages 240 and 241: Framed art and gallery walls.
And the outdoor areas even got in the book, Pages 230 and 231: Outdoor planting and fence ideas.
It really is packed with some great pics and you’ll enjoy thumbing through this one. I love adding great décor books to my growing collection for those times that I just want to unplug and sit on the porch with a pretty book in hand. I don’t always want to be in front of my computer, do you?
ONE very lucky reader is also going to get a chance to add Country Living’s Little Book of BIG Decorating Ideas to your collection too! All you have to do is leave a comment telling me why you love décor books and how much you’ll enjoy this one.
I’ll pick a random winner in a few days! That’s it!

I have never had any decorating books! I kind of got caught up into magazines a few years ago to glean ideas from. I got my iPad at Christmas and have become a decorating / blog junkie! I must say there is something so special about having a book of your own though. It must be the child in me who still loves books, but the 50 year old who just can’t throw a book away! Would love to start a decorating book collection with this! How fun would that be?!

I love books period, and especially books that show us how to enliven our homes and lives. For years, I couldn’t part with any home magazine. We all glean the pages for help when we begin new projects, and copy something from the pages. It may not be exactly like the book, but that’s where we get our inspiration from. The book you showed looks very valuable in ideas.

Décor books and cook books!!! There is nothing more relaxing and enjoyable than reading these books while sitting in your favorite chair with a nice glass of iced tea.

I love books! Especially books about design, decor, or turning a house into a home haven!
I always watch for home books when I visit antique or used book stores. I keep a wishlist on Amazon all the time… I use them to elevate candles or a bunny on the mantle or bookshelf. Country Living books always have great photography as well as “doable” ideas. I would love to win this ~ thanks for offering the giveaway!!

Love to pour over decor books I’ve had for years to see how my tastes have changed. Static books are a nice addition to the ever-changing blogs and magazines (which I obviously adore as well)!

I just LOVE decorating… books …real life…daydreaming.
My daughter got me onto your blog a couple months ago and I really enjoy it each day. Thanks for the time and effort that goes into it.
I need another book as a perk me up.

Aren’t they just like a breath of fresh air? I love to sit and pretend I am in those pages, living in a perfectly put-together world of delectable decor. I know my house will never match that perfection, but just for a time I can dream, and maybe take away a little smidgen of something that I can use to change the real world I live in daily.

How do I love them, let me count the ways…or rather my books. Actually, I don’t have too many design books, but I refer to those I have often. Surprisingly, I still like those I’ve had for years. This looks to be a nice addition.
