{Giveaway Ended} Â The Winner is #114, Esther. Â
Once again, I’m back with another blogger friend book. My friend, Wendy Hyde, of The Shabby Nest, has written a fun and inspiring decorating book, Decorating for Real Life. It shows real life homes and gives ideas on how to make your home better with a few changes.
With practical real-life ideas for decorating, you are sure to be inspired in your own home. From space planning, color planning, to decor style, she covers the bases for a beautiful home.
Each real life home feature asks these questions:
What does this space say?
What makes this space family friendly?
What fears need to be overcome?
What compromise is required?
Then a method to Borrow these Ideas and bring them to your own home.
Great news for ONE of my readers!
Wendy and her publisher are giving away a copy of Decorating for Real Life, for one of my readers. Â All you have to do is leave a comment here on this post, in the Comments below and tell me…

My master bedroom needs help! I’ve neglected it while working on other rooms in the house. It looks just like it did when we moved in 6 years ago.
Would love to redo the family room.
My sunroom really needs a makeover. Thanks for a great give away!
My living room is a Real Life place and it shows. This space could use some organization and better furniture placement.
My family room needs the most help. Been wanting a new, fresh look for some time. I especially want a new color scheme but I always find it is challenging for me to get started. It’s also important for me to have it stylish and family-friendly … Real life decorating!
My master bedroom needs a lift. Thanks so much for the give away.
I need a new look for my living room and right behind that is my office. I like it but it needs some updating. The book looks very interesting and I would love to have it.
Tks!
I have an unusual family room that I would love to change and perhaps your book will lend some great ideas!
I would like to update my den. It has been the same for a while. Looking for some new ideas.
My guest bedroom is in need of a makeover. This book would be so helpful.
I’d live to re do my living room. We have a grand piano that makes the furniture placement a little awkward.
My kitchen is my problem area……..looking to update in 2015!!
My master bathroom could use some decorating. It is such a functional room but lacks that pizzaz. It’s time for some magic in there!
I would tackle our TV room where we spend most of our time; eating, relaxing, visiting and reading email. Visitors come through this room first so it needs to make a good impression. It would be nice to have an attractive room that our family can feel comfortable in.
Our living room and our TV room both need help and it’s a toss up which to start with…
Thanks for the generous giveaway, Rhoda! I just popped over to Wendy’s site; her story is an inspiration.
The room that could use the most help in my home is my dining room … would love a fresh set of eyes in there!
We just moved into a new home! This house was rented on and off for 6 years and empty for almost 2 years when we made our offer. There isn’t a room in this house that does not need updating, hah!
Oops! I left my comment before opening the Rafflecopter link – sorry for the double-post!
I love new decorating books!!
This book looks amazing, thank you for the opportunity to win a copy! The room(s) in my house needing the most help are my formal dining and living rooms. They are connected and one large space, sadly they were last decorated 20+ years ago and really need to be brought into this new year!
