How are you sleeping lately?
Sleeping is a really good thing for the body and I am one who appreciates a great night’s sleep, aren’t you? There’s nothing worse than being uncomfortable and tossing and turning at night. I’ve had nights like that, but luckily they are fewer and fewer these days. I can honestly say now after sleeping on a memory foam bed for a few months, that I really do love the feel of memory foam. So when Essentia contacted me about using and reviewing one of their memory foam pillows, I said, sure let’s give it a shot. ![]()
I chose the Ergonomic pillow to try out, since I’m a side sleeper for the most part and this one is designed for back or side sleepers. These pillows give the ultimate neck support and that seems to be a good thing too. I was used to a down/feather pillow, which sort of squishes down and takes on your head shape. I have always like a feather pillow because they can move and form to the way you hold the pillow, but they can be big too and get in the way.
When I got in the Ergonomic, it is smallish compared to my big fat feather pillow, but I immediately liked the way it conformed to my neck and head, with my head resting in the groove that makes it a bit of a different shape. And I suppose that is what makes it comfortable. I do like the way that memory foam sort of sinks in and just helps you relax, the same way a memory foam bed does with your body. I wasn’t sure how I would feel about memory foam, but after sleeping on the mattress for a few months and now using the memory foam pillow, I’m pretty sold on the whole concept.
So, how does Essentia differ from other memory foam products?
- They make the only natural memory foam mattresses in the world (like Tempur-Pedic, but natural)
- Made in Canada, but you can find stores in the US too
- Natural foam = breathable
- Seen on Dr. Oz, Rachel Ray, and Anderson Cooper (www.myessentia.com/media)
- All other memory foams are made from petroleum based chemicals
You can check out all the pillows at Essentia.

I typically sleep with a down alternative pillow and I have gotten a pretty good night’s sleep. However, it’s time to replace that pillow and I would love to try to Comfort pillow. Thanks for the opportunity Rhoda!
Awesome, need a new pillow
I am amazed (not really!) how many people must sleep on ghastly pillows! I have read more than one blog that discuss nothing but pillows and mattress sets. Never knew it to be such a hot button. You go Rhoda – you’re gonna make somebody’s day!
What a wonderful giveaway! Sleep is such an important part of good health! Currently I sleep on a synthetic down pillow – allergic to feathers… I have read about memory foam and have wondered if it would help my neck issues. Thanks for your great blog!
Warm regards,
Ruth
I’m always on the hunt for a better pillow and would love to try this one. Currently I sleep on a buckwheat pillow, which I love, but am wondering whether I have an allergy to buckwheat.
Thanks for the chance to try this one.

I would love to win a memory foam pillow. I sleep on just a regular pillow. Thank you for the giveaway.

I sleep on a regular stuffed pillow, and it’s ok but I’d love to try this memory foam pillow! Thanks! 🙂
I have had insomnia for my entire life. Not sayin gthis pillow would help, but it could help all of my tossing and turning to get comfortable and mayber make for a better nights sleep!
Thanks
I have tried so many different pillows. They all stink. I like a solid pillow that gives great support to my neck and head. Pillows today, you can bunch them up; mash them and no matter what you do, when you lay your head on them, all you do is sink into nothing. Because of this, I know that I have not had a truly good night’s sleep in many a full moon. This pillow sounds more like it would give you a heavenly nights sleep.
I use a standard no-name pillow. I definitely need to try a new pillow because I’m getting old and my neck and back are often sore when I wake up!
I’ve slept on cervical pillows for years. I have extreme neck issues so a cervical pillow is a must nowadays. I’ve been tempted to try a memory foam but never went ahead and bought one. Now that you and others have blazed that trail and have great feedback for them I really want to try one now!
Oh, I would love this! I am sleeping on an old, old pillow right now and there isn’t much ‘fluff’ left in it. Thanks for the opportunity!
I don’t know what kind of pillow I sleep on…except that it’s old. i’d love to win a new one!
I have a cheap foam pillow I got a few yrs ago from a discount dept. store. Would LOVE to try this real deal one!! Traditional pillows just give me a pain in the neck – literally!!
I have a down blend, but love memory foam1

I sleep on pillows that have little foam beads inside – don’t know what they’re called. I’d really like to win this pillow to help with my chronic neck and back pain.
I sleep on a soft pillow that i bought at dillards and it is good but not great. Would love to try the memory foam pillow to see if it is any better than what i currently am using.
Thanks for the chance to win!
My pillows are very old and soft and from watching Dr. Oz I found out that they could be filled w/dust mite larvae! Not a good thing! I need a good support pillow to support my head/neck area and one I don’t have to keep trying to fluff up all night long!
I sleep on a regular, but my poor husband has slept on many different kinds and he has problems with acid reflux so it would be great to have a pillow that would support his neck. He has the wedge pillow, but it’s under his entire back and he doesn’t like that. Thanks for a chance to win one from Essentia 🙂
