Happy Friday friends! It’s another Friday Favorites and I’ve got some fun things to share with you today, so I hope you enjoy.
Feature Friday
A few years ago, I shared Brooke with 1820 Farmhouse. That link is the updated home tour here on my blog. She had a different blog name back then, but today I’m sharing this Feature Friday again. Brooke’s white farmhouse in NY is such a pretty home and she’s done so much to it over the years. Don’t miss Brooke’s complete home tour on her blog too, it’s updated with fresh pics and content. Her master bathroom reno is just gorgeous!
Instagram Inspiration
Here are a couple of over 50 ladies that I’m friends with on Instagram.
Beth with Style at a Certain Age has a lot of fashion inspiration and shares it almost daily on Instagram. She just did a bathroom update on her blog that is so pretty and classic. Check her out on the blog and Instagram.
Kitty Wass is a 74 year old influencer on Instagram and she has a lot of style! Gorgeous lady!
James Farmer always inspires me with his designs and classic Southern style.
Around the House
Affiliate links used below.
This pair of chairs at Target would be great on a porch.
I love a cute garden stool used as a side table, blue and white is a bonus! Safavieh is a great brand.
This blue and white rug is the same brand, really cute in that vintage look.
What a cute waste basket, love the lid!
As you can see, I love caning, wicker and bamboo. This TV console is so pretty!
This caned vase really caught my eye, I just ordered this one for myself.
What We’re Watching/Reading
We just watched the Harvey Weinstein documentary on Netflix called Untouchable. It was interesting to hear from his accusers as well as colleagues talking about him after his trial was all over. We really enjoy documentaries, so if you have any you can recommend let me know.
I’m really loving The Established Home on Magnolia Network. Jean Stoffer is the designer in Michigan and she’s so talented.
Mark bought this book and I’m reading it now. Very eye opening. Not getting political here, but just sharing an informative book if you’re interested. We like to stay informed on what’s going on.
Dr. Faucet is a wonderful human being
Love your blog……
Oh and CJ…..obviously you haven’t read the book…The Truth will set you Free…
I have subscribed to this blog for home decor and all the specific features. The last thing I expected to see was a post involving a quite controversial book involving politics and conspiracy theories. Needless to say, it is very disappointing to see this.
You say you don’t want to get political but you just did. Frankly, you do this quite often. All of us have our political views but I do not feel it is appropriate to openly post how you feel about politics on a decorating blog. If I want political commentary I will turn on the news!
Come on…don’t condone this extremely controversial book. I love your blog and have for years. This gives me pause.
Every American should read this book. Big Pharma is controlling our lives, only we the people can stop them.
Love The Established Home. Her family is so inspiring in using all of their gifts!
The AF book is very well documented no matter what side of the political spectrum you are on. I agree….an eye opener with facts to back up.
Robert Kennedy Jr is a conspiracy theorist and an anti-vaccine propagandist. This IS political. What is his book doing in your post???? I have enjoyed your blog – but I will no longer follow it. You should not profit from disseminating this damaging material (i can’t even call it information). And Carla – Big Pharma SAVED humanity with multiple vaccines against COVID. It is the unvaccinated that are in hospital ICUs now…
Please refrain from labeling human beings Marion, sadly hundreds of thousands of people have died from lack of treatment while they were sick , Studies were falsified to show medicines did not work when in fact they are very effective against Covid , the truth is slowly emerging…
Weighin in to say thank you for mentioning the Fauci book. (There are more of us than them!) Also, thank you for all of your Instagram comments! Keep up the good work!
Ha, when I saw that book, I knew people’s heads would explode. It’s a shame we can’t agree to disagree and still love and care for one another.
I didn’t see a link but I found the beautiful blue and white garden stool with google images for $139 at HSN and $69 at Bed Bath & Beyond.
I agree…even RFK’s wife blasted him. I will unsubscribe from your blog too and I have enjoyed it till today.
She didn’t blast the book, she blasted his comment referencing Anne Frank.
Ignore the book burners. I believe the quote “You can deny reality but, you cannot deny the consequences of reality,” applies. Time will tell…
Wow….cancel culture rears its ugly head! Say something they don’t like, and immediately they unsubscribe….oh well! I have read “your” (yes it is her blog to do and say what she wants) blog for years and enjoy it always. Hang in there….we will stay with you!
I can’t believe there are such small narrow minded people in our
world today !
Well, I figured the book would be controversial, but I’m not hiding what I’m reading. If you choose to unfollow, that is your prerogative. The book is eye opening, I’m only 1/4 of the way through it so I have lots more to go. I’m not going to apologize for reading this book. We all have our opinions and I don’t usually bring mine on here when it comes to politics, but I also believe in standing up for what I see as right and truthful. Everyone has to figure this out for themselves.
We’ll done and we’ll said, Rhoda. Today is the first day your blog arrived in my inbox and I will stay with you. Thank you for standing up for truth!
Thank you, Valorie, welcome! Truth these days is so distorted and seemingly hard to find, but if we look the truth is there in plain sight.
Rhoda, Thank you for sharing! So many are so afraid to share how they feel for fear of being controversial. In these days we need to have courage to stand up for the truth. I saw first hand what those meds? did to my mom and heard so many more similar stories. Thanks again!
Free speech, free country. Love your blog. Keep up the good work. God bless you and your family.
Thank you Ann!
These days you have to do your own research which means you have to look at all the facts and conclusions. It is easy to listen to the networks who will enlighten you and guide you down their path, but it takes diligence to build your own thoughts and opinions. Thank you, Rhoda; we need substance as well as beauty in our lives.
Yes Gail, we do have to do our own research. That’s what we do around our house, you can’t let other people tell you what to think.
Your right Rhoda. Keeping an open mind and investigating both sides of the story is the right way to go. I’ve been following your blog for years and would not stop just because you expressed an opinion whether I agree with it or not.
Thank you, Loretta, appreciate that!
It must be very difficult for someone whose family is so engrained in the Democratic Party to step out of the box and search for the truth. If everyone would do that and not be so loyal to party, we would all be much better off for it. We must remember that we are all Americans and that the truth will set us free! Thanks for the book recommendation.
What Carla said is the truth, ordinary, inexpensive, well tested for years, medications have been shown to be very effective to treat this virus at home and yet Drs were not allowed to use them. Come to the hospital when you turn blue?? This is most disquieting to me of everything that has happened with this virus. Medical providers get up every morning to work to prevent illness and hospitalization and love to brag about how well their patients are doing, as they should. (I am a retired RN, worked 42 years). And yet, all treatment for this particular illness outside the hospital is Not Allowed? This is just shocking beyond belief. It doesn’t matter what your politics are, this is basic health care.
Hi, Nancy, I could not agree with you more. It is shocking what has happened and that well trusted medications have been banned. That most of all is just hard to fathom.
