2. […] I wasn’t really able to do a whole lot of thrifting this last week, I was home mush of the time, but I did want to share some of what I found with you guys! Before we took hubby to the airport we went to the GW Outlet in Indy… it has huge blue bins and you have to dig for what you want! lol Everything is really cheap though, hardcover books are 50 cents, anything fabric is sold by the pound ($1.39 each). Hubby found a pair of brown cargo pants that I didn’t manage to get a photo of before he left. / / Hubby actually found me this New York & Co shirt that is brand new, still has the tag on it for $35. Since it is sheer and weighs almost nothing I probably paid less than 50 cents for it. I already have cut it up and am using the fabric in a project! There was a ton of the crochet trim and it will be saved for future projects. / / I loved this vintage sheet and it’s green scalloped embroidered trim, It probably cost me $1.50. We also found three cool books that were 50 cents each. The Wonderland of Knowledge book is beautiful with embossing and gilting. It’s beautifully illustrated and seems to be from sometime in the late 40s. It’s like a cultural encyclopedia for children wish they had had the rest of the set. The next book is called Motivated Primary Activities and is dated 1925. It’s a collection of projects, creative play and learning exercises for children intended for teachers in rural areas. Finally we have this AWESOME, BEAUTIFUL book that my husband found! The cover and spine are both deeply embossed (you have to click the image for a larger view). It’s called The Junior Classics: A Library for Boys & Girls, Vol III, Tales from Greece & Rome. It’s also beautifully illustrated and from 1918. / / I loved the base of this red velvet dress by Rose Cottage, after a little scissor time it should be much better. I like this wool mix dress from Old Navy, it’s lined too which is nice. They were $1 each. This red velvet Small Wonders jumper is satin lined and has the cutest little tartan ruffle around the bottom, it was 50 cents. I LOVED this little tartan skirt with the black velvet ribbon at the waist. It has under bloomers instead of being a skort, which I can’t stand, it was $1. / / I paid $1 for this new pink burlap purse with tan leather handles, I think it will be great for embroidery! / / HAHHAHA YES another ugly plaid blazer. Once this loses a scissor fight it will look much better I assure you! and it was $4 as well. The black Old Navy onesie with the scallop edging was $1, the white Small Wonders onesie with the cotton collar was 50 cents and the black Children’s Place silver sparkle turtleneck was $1. / / These are Lane Bryant tan velvet pants I bought for $4. They are a tall, but that is easily fixed. Beautiful angora and lambs’ wool turtleneck sweater! So SOFT! Paid $4 for it. / / I know my husband loves Mr. T, lol, so when I saw this teen size shirt I snatched it up, figuring I could make it into something else. When I called him and told him I found one, he started describing it to me and was so excited!
