Since we have just returned from the beach, I don’t have any thrifty treasures to show you today. Actually we got back on Friday and even though it was raining here on Saturday a.m., I did get out and hit a few sales, but it was a bust. I didn’t find much of anything, so I should have stayed home. I’m starting to drag right now on getting out to the yardsales, so I’m going to wrap up the Thrifty Treasures party next weekend and we’ll resume again next Spring. I know many of you want to keep going with it, but I need a break! 🙂 So, come back next weekend for ONE MORE Thrifty Treasures party for this year. I promise, we’ll do it again in the spring! I’ve got lots going on in October (like that Holiday House I’m participating in) and will need to slow it down anyway.
So, this week you get to see some beach pics from me. I’ve got a TON of pics and will have to share them a little at a time over the next week.
This is the third time we’ve stayed at this particular condo complex (in case you want to check it out, Dunes of Seagrove) in Seagrove, FL and even though it rained every other day, we still had some fun and relaxation. With this view, how can you go wrong? We have thoroughly enjoyed staying at these condos since they are tucked away from the main road and they are right on the beach. And they are just down the road from Seaside. It’s not as busy here as it is in Destin. We also have our favorite restaurants which I’ll share in another post.  We’ve stayed in 2 different units here and most of them have a great view.
Truly, if you’ve never been to the Gulf in Florida, you are missing out!
The view from balcony.
We met up once again with our friends, Kat and George for a delish Italian dinner. If you haven’t followed this story, Kat and I met through blogging back in 2007 and met up when we went to the beach that year and have been friends ever since. We actually dog sat for their dog, Daisy, last year at their house and had a ball. Kat and I just pick up like old friends when we get together. Blogging truly has been a blessing. I love all the friends I have made! Kat wrote about our shopping trip (click that link) and I’ll get to that later too. Their daughter is getting married in the spring on the beach, so Kat is really busy with planning that.
Sunset outside the condo. I did manage to get one sunset photographed, in spite of the rain.
It’s magical this time of day.
Self-portrait on the beach.
Ahh, what a beautiful sunset.
Along with some shrimp we bought for boiling, but this is the bluefish caught. YUMMY!
So, that’s what I did this week. I’ll share more from the trip later too.
What did YOU do?
Did you get out and about this weekend and find any treasures. You know how it works.
So, get ready to share your treasures too. Remember our guidelines for Mr. Linky parties:
- Enter your permalink to your thrifty post and NOT just your blog url. If you aren’t sure how to do that, please refer back to last week’s party. All links that do not go to your party post will be deleted.
- Please add a link back to THIS post, so that all your readers can find the party and join in or at least read about all the fun that everyone else had, or I’ll have to delete those too.
- If you come back & your link is deleted, it’s because your link was incorrect (and I couldn’t identify it) OR you didn’t link back to this party. Please try again!

It is a small world we live in. Kat and George are the parents of one of my best guy friends that I graduated highschool with. How fun that you have made such great friendships through blogging.
