Holiday: A Giveaway

Giveaway is Closed

After much anticipation by all, the beautifully designed issues of Holiday magazine by Matthew Mead have arrived. After preordering earlier this year, I just received my copy in the last couple of days and have flipped through the gorgeous pages and will set aside time to read each and every entry. It’s 146 pages of pure Christmas magic and beauty and I really think that you’ll all enjoy it tremendously. It’s only available through the Holiday website at this time, no copies will be on the newsstands. This is the very first issue and we hope there are more!

Not your typical glossy magazine, this is really more of a book, with matte pages and beautifully photographed Christmas rooms and ideas. Chock full of crafts, recipes, vignettes and more, it is sure to be a book to turn to for Holiday inspiration for years to come.

Matthew is completely an artist when it comes to styling photos and vignettes.  Second to none and you can see his well-known work all over the pages.  Matthew has been involved in magazines  for so many years and is a master. You’ll find loads of inspiration for your own Christmas style.

Page after page of beauty and tempting ideas.

And you won’t find all the ads in between stories like normal magazines.  There are a few at the back and mostly small women-owned shops are featured.  Several bloggers (including myself) are featured in a few pages and Christmas craft ideas from our blogs were used as inspiration.  So, if you need some fresh new ideas this year, I think you’re in luck.  Matthew and company have asked me to give away ONE copy of Holiday to one of you.  If you already have a copy, please don’t sign up.  I’d love for someone who does not already own one, to win this time!

Thanks so much!  Just leave a comment and tell me what sort of ideas you have this year for Christmas decorating.  Are you changing things up or doing what you always do?

Me, I always have to change things up some just to keep things fresh and new!

NOTE:  If you are reading this by email subscription, please DO NOT email me back for the giveaway.  As always, you will need to leave comments on THIS post to be eligible for the magazine!  Thanks so much!

I’ve got a few giveaways going on this week and last, so bear with me.  They’re all good ones, so I hope you enjoy.  I’ll pick a winner on Wednesday evening.

Who among us can resist a magazine with a title like “Holiday”? I’m “teased” by the pics you shared, and would love to read this one cover to cover…. (especially to see what my fave bloggers have in it!)

I am adding to the decor just a little bit this year…. adding more to the mantle, but not putting out the Village…. no grands coming… and that’s who it’s really for….
thanks for the opportunity…. here’s hoping!

I’ll be hosting the big, formal Christmas dinner for the extended family, and I’m decorating more than I’ve ever done! Would love a copy!

I would love to win! I always do my main Christmas tree the same way, with all the ornaments my kids have made and the stuff we have collected over the years. The rest of the house I change every year! I can’t decide what direction to go in yet…that’s why I need to win!

Hi Rhoda: Well, I was thinking of changing things up this year and doing my decorating differently. I wanted to clear out my ‘junk’ Christmas stuff that I don’t use and only put up what I really love. I love hanging big ornaments on my stairs, so this year I may do new colors (not red and green). I also do a simple tabletop tree that doesn’t require a lot of ornaments…simple will be in again. Thank you for the giveaway!! :))

I just love crafty magazines. Anything to do with decorating and making your home feel more special is likely to end up on my reading list. Thank you for the opportunity to try out a new magazine. I hope I win. more…
I forgot to mention. I am planning on incorporating more cute ideas that I get from a lot of blogs that I follow. I am getting the courage to make changes in my life. Since my illness my life has changed so much.
I would like to simplify things so it doesn’t leave a lot of work for me. I am a high stress person when it comes to entertaining. I used to love the stress. Now it takes so much out of me. I am drained after a party.
I need to find a happy medium.

Doin the same old thing this year, we have a very small house so changing it up is not an option this year. But I’m always lookin for new ideas for a new bigger house, that we are searching for.

I would love to win a copy. Our real tree is decorated the way it was when my boys were living at home. One new thing is the aluminum tree my son gifted me last Christmas. I will cover it with my vintage shiny brites and hope my four cats don’t destroy it.

Thanks for the opportunity to win what sounds like a great magazine. I’m not sure what my decorating will be as I’ll be out of town for Christmas this year. Sort of an unsettling feeling. I’ll have to do some decorating though!

Ooh, ooh! Please pick me! 🙂 This year I am thinking of doing either a natural theme or a whimsical theme. I know, totally different ends of the spectrum. 🙂 Thanks for hosting the giveaway, Rhoda.

Pick me! Pick me!! I really need some new ideas, I’ve been in a Christmas rut the past couple years and want to change it up, but I’m not sure where to begin.

Probably not doing too much different this year, as I am about to have a baby. Hoping to maybe do a couple of new crafts. Would love some inspiration.

Oh I would LOVE to get my hands on a copy of this magazine! This year I’ve got old and new stuff coming together for a “new” look. I like to change it up a bit every year.

I’m adding some more interactive things now that I have a child. She’s too small to appreciate it now but I want to add things each year for her.
