Holiday: A Giveaway

Giveaway is Closed

After much anticipation by all, the beautifully designed issues of Holiday magazine by Matthew Mead have arrived. After preordering earlier this year, I just received my copy in the last couple of days and have flipped through the gorgeous pages and will set aside time to read each and every entry. It’s 146 pages of pure Christmas magic and beauty and I really think that you’ll all enjoy it tremendously. It’s only available through the Holiday website at this time, no copies will be on the newsstands. This is the very first issue and we hope there are more!

Not your typical glossy magazine, this is really more of a book, with matte pages and beautifully photographed Christmas rooms and ideas. Chock full of crafts, recipes, vignettes and more, it is sure to be a book to turn to for Holiday inspiration for years to come.

Matthew is completely an artist when it comes to styling photos and vignettes.  Second to none and you can see his well-known work all over the pages.  Matthew has been involved in magazines  for so many years and is a master. You’ll find loads of inspiration for your own Christmas style.

Page after page of beauty and tempting ideas.

And you won’t find all the ads in between stories like normal magazines.  There are a few at the back and mostly small women-owned shops are featured.  Several bloggers (including myself) are featured in a few pages and Christmas craft ideas from our blogs were used as inspiration.  So, if you need some fresh new ideas this year, I think you’re in luck.  Matthew and company have asked me to give away ONE copy of Holiday to one of you.  If you already have a copy, please don’t sign up.  I’d love for someone who does not already own one, to win this time!

Thanks so much!  Just leave a comment and tell me what sort of ideas you have this year for Christmas decorating.  Are you changing things up or doing what you always do?

Me, I always have to change things up some just to keep things fresh and new!

NOTE:  If you are reading this by email subscription, please DO NOT email me back for the giveaway.  As always, you will need to leave comments on THIS post to be eligible for the magazine!  Thanks so much!

I’ve got a few giveaways going on this week and last, so bear with me.  They’re all good ones, so I hope you enjoy.  I’ll pick a winner on Wednesday evening.

I would love to win this magazine -I am changing things up this year -minimizing really but bringing more natural elements in arrangements . Even going to go with all one color for the tree this year. I just want serene, peaceful decorating. Also adding vintage items to vignettes -which I loved the pictures you posted.

We have not decided yet. My guess is that my husband will want to change colors this year. We buy when we find good deals and I would love to create some decorations with our kids this year.

I usually do the same traditional decorating. My adult children expect it!
    Thanks for the opportunity!!

Wow! This looks like a jewel of a magazine. Just the little bit that you revealed tells me this is gonna need some set-aside time to take it all in and savor the ideas and inspiration. I’m still open as to what approach I will take this year for my holiday decorating…..perhaps this issue holds the spark….

We’ve always done a theme for the tree and this has been done solely by my son not the daughters!!! He is very particular now that this is his job! I love that he thinks of things, he in fact reads up about designs and what is available etc before he starts.

I would love to change things up a bit! The problem – my husband who loves tradition – everything the same year after year. I have to introduce new ideas very slowly 🙂

We just bought a cape cod cottage and are having a blast decorating it and working on cottage gardens. I am just trying to figure out some adorable cottagy christmas decorations that aren’t super expensive. This book looks like great inspiration!

I am going to decorate our large brick fireplace with Christmas cards, the spacing between the bricks is perfect to hold the cards, some stick out a bit more then others and they are different widths and lengths but the effect looks amazing and oh so Christmasy.

I would love to win this! I’m changing it up this year by concentrating on shades of blue mixed with silver, normally I do the traditional red and green thing. Hopefully it turns out nice.

We’re living in a home away from home right now and don’t have much storage room for our normal decorations, so our Christmas this year will be simple–a tabletop tree, the nativity, and a couple of red satin ribbons on the lamps. My dream would be to go in the direction of vintage christmas ornaments–I’m dying to make a wreath out of Shiny Brite glass balls, but I don’t think it will happen until we have more storage! I would love this magazine so that I can do some “Christmas dreaming”!
