The Winner is #331, Heidi! Congrats, Heidi, you’ve got mail!
Lamps are one of the easiest things to change out in a room to make a big difference in the feel. I went through the really traditional lamp season, of iron base and bell shaped shades, but the last 3 or 4 years, I’ve transitioned over to drum shades and a more electic vibe with my table lamps and I love the changes. I’m happy that lamp manufacturers have given us so many pretty lamps to choose from the last few years. Before that, I remember having a hard time finding pretty lamps that were affordable.
I’ll show you a few of mine that I’ve had for a few years.
I found this one at a yardsale for $5 and got rid of the monstrously big shade that came with it and found the replacement shade at a thriftstore. I recovered it in this pretty black and cream damask and have enjoyed it for a long time. I might be ready for an update on the fabric pretty soon, since I have some burlap that would work perfectly. I love the glass base with gold accents and it’s a very tall stately lamp.
Another find in my living room is this mercury glass lamp that I got from Homegoods. It’s petite and fits nicely on this glass and iron side table from Ballards.
More lamps around my house. I love mixing them up and using different colors and shades all around. I try to keep my shades fairly neutral for the most part and notice I love the drum shades. Something about this shape really appeals to me and it modernizes a room so much.
Another little vignette in my den area has another metal based lamp and drum shade. I’m still working on the den, but I’ll show you some progress down here next week. It will be awhile before I get this room totally finished and I’m still using part of it for storage of accessories.
Another great find were these lamps from Kirklands that I found just after moving in my house. I absolutely love the wooden bases, the gray ceramic vase shape and the burlap drum shades. This pair was the perfect complement on my sideboard in the dining room, pulling in the gray paint in here and the colors from the curtains. They were meant to be!
Speaking of Kirklands, if you haven’t shopped there for lamps lately, they have really upped their game in lamp selections and I’ve been pleasantly surprised at the ones they have. You can shop online or at their store and they have a ton of lamps on sale all the time.
Kirklands sent me a new lamp to try out in my house and I absolutely love it. This big glass base is slightly vintage looking and the glass is sort of seeded and old looking on a wooden neutral base. I really love the large drum shade covered in burlap.
It’s a great fit on my coffee table in the den, very large and distinct and the style fits right in with my Traditional furnishings in here. At 32” tall, it’s a large one!
Here’s some great news too. Kirklands wants to give ONE of my readers one of these lamps too. Yippee!! I love when I can share the fun with all of you and I’m so excited to be able to give one of you this lamp too. It will be sent directly to your home all packed up nice and neat in 2 boxes.
All you have to do is visit the Kirklands website, look at their lamps and leave a comment, telling me which one is your fave!
And tell me where you’ll put this new lamp if you’re the fortunate winner?! That’s it, I’ll choose a winner in a few days and you’ll get your very own beautiful glass lamp with burlap shade too. How fun is that?
Note: I was given a free lamp from Kirklands, but wasn’t paid for this post.

Pleasantly Surprised at Kirklands selection online across the board. I love the gray wash table lamp, sand dune and this giveaway! Need lamps for both the bedroom and living room!
I never thought of going to Kirkland’s to look for lamps. Love the burlap shade lamp!
Seems like picking out lamps for my home has been one of the hardest parts of decorating. 😛 I love your new lamp and especially the shade. I also liked the antique cream table lamp on their website. I could use a new lamp in my living room!! 🙂
I love the blue glass table lamp. Would go perfect in my new living room decor. Thanks for the giveaway!
I would choose the Sandy Blue glass table lamp. I am giving my co-worker a master bedroom re-do shower because after a bad divorce years ago, God introduced her to a wonderful man who like her was hurt very badly in a previous marriage. They are getting married in July and while they are on their honeymoon, us girlfriends are redecorating what will be their master bedroom. A new life together certainly needs a romantic retreat!! Thanks so much for the contest – what fun!!
I’d like the English Chestnut Table Lamp. Our dog just wiped out a lamp in our living room, and we’ve been looking for a replacement. Has to be fairly tough, in case the dog decides to dash between the sofa and table again! I’m just happy I only paid $10 for the table she scratched in the process! And to think my hubs thought I was nuts to buy a table with dings and scratches in it!
I love the clear glass table lamp. I have a really big iron bed that needs tall lamps on the bedside tables for balance. This would be perfect with the clear glass, not too over powering visually! Thanks Rhoda for the chance to win!
I love the tortoise lamp set! They would go perfect in my Master bedroom!
I really like the Rattan Buffet Lamp. I would be putting the lamp (if I win), probably in my guest bedroom. But I may change my mind if I actually win.
Thank you for the opportunity to look at some great lamps and the way you display them! My favorite is the cracked silver glass table lamp. I am updating my living room a little at a time, right now I have one of those tall candle stick lamps (popular several years ago) and it is time for me to get a gown up girl lamp!
Thanks for sharing.
Love the Foster Table Lamp. Love your Blog!
or the Grey Driftwood Knob Lamp. Can’t decide. Great choices
I’d choose the Crackled Silver Glass Table Lamp – and use in in the Guest Room which is furnished with old family pieces and momentos. I’m doing some small updates that have been on our “list” – my husband passed on 2/2 after a short (one month, two days) battle after we found out he had a quick and hard hitting Cancer. Still in shock, and trying to do some of the things “we” had planned – keeps him close in my heart.
I love them all! Lamps are such a great way to enhance a room and the lighting they give is so warm and cozy. I think I would have to say the mustard ceramic lamp would fit perfectly into my bedroom where I could really use another lamp. Thanks so much for the inspiration and the great blog!

Hi, Rhoda – Love your new glass lamp. I would choose the Empire Clear Glass Table Lamp. The shape and style would work perfectly in my great room. Thanks for the give-away. Your house is gorgeous and you have worked so hard on it. I admire your talent!
So many beautiful lamps to pick from – the one that stood out and said pick me is the Sand Dune Table Lamp
Oh wow…as soon as I saw this lamp I knew it was the one for me. It’s the Malacca Wicker Table Lamp sku:116895.
If I should win, this lamp will go in our sunroom. We have a wicker table with four chairs and several wicker easy chairs. It would look so very nice. Thank you for sharing.
I love the Open Base Glass Table Lamp…really anything with glass that will blend with natural elements. I’m about to embark on designing a new room for my growing-into-a-young-lady youngest child, but I could picture this lamp in almost any room of my home.
I love the Hobnail blue lamp AND the Sand Dune!
Wow, very reasonable prices! If I don’t win, I think I’d order the Restoration Bronze Table Lamp with Night Light. It would look great in my living room.
Loved the crystal bronze table lamp. I’ve been looking for one more lamp for my living room, so it would probably go there.
