I’m just over the moon excited about my new office space. A whole room for all my computer stuff and space to be organized too. How great will that be? You got a sneak peek of the green walls being painted and now they are all finished and I can’t wait to show you how fun it’s going to be.
It’s hard to capture the green correctly, but it’s a custom color that I had Sherwin-Williams make for me, a vibrant yellowy-green, called Fennel. I decided to leave off the bi-fold closet doors and paint the inside a happy turquoise color, Larchmere by Sherwin-Williams.
My plan is to add an Ikea bookcase of some kind inside (to be determined) with baskets and bins for storage (in white, that should look great against the pretty blue).
Here’s a peek of the dark brown doors with my office wall colors. Only one coat on in this pic, but it’s looking good.
Here’s what you see when you walk in the room, lots of pretty green.
I decided that far wall was the perfect wall to stencil and I used the Large Moorish allover stencil from Royal Designs that I used in my sister’s bedroom. Here’s a tutorial I did when we used this same stencil in my sister’s bedroom, go here.
One pretty wall of ivory pearl stencil and it’s a standout. Do you like? I sure do! Now, here’s the really fun part. I can’t move in here yet, we still have to do floors in this room, but can’t you just see it all coming together? In case you need a little visual help, here’s my inspiration board, with all the elements that are going to make my office dreamy, happy and functional. Click on the pic (done in Olioboard) and it will show where everything is from:
You can see the Ikea Blad panels are really going to brighten up the space. I added a striped rug, but am not sure which rug will end up in here. All those little fun details will make a huge impact on my office space. This is my existing Target desk, with a white chair similar to mine. The Ballard shelves I already have, and I’ve added a cute chair just for funsies. That wall clock I bought from Joss and Main and it is so cute. Check out those pretty black botanicals too! I’ve got some super fun plans for those and I’ll share that project with you real soon. You’re going to love it! So, that’s my office space plan! I hope you like it as much as I do. I mentioned that I’ll be doing a lot of blues and greens (my two fave colors) in this house and the office will come alive with color when I’m finished with it.
It’s hard not to get excited when I see this chipcard that I got using Sherwin-Williams’ Chip It! tool!
You can get the Chip It! button just like the Pin It button for Pinterest. Watch the video, then drag the Chip It! button below to your toolbar:

Wow – thanks for hosting this giveaway! Sherwin Williams paint is my favorite brand to use. I have three rooms currently in need of painting – my office, a bedroom and a bathroom.

So glad to hear your office is coming together. My friend loves green and would certainly drool over the colors you have selected.
I would use the chip it for our living room. It’s fairly bland in there right now. And your site is so much inspiration!

WOW! Your office is going to look terrific! I would use the chip it for my master bedroom(still has the builders beige) after 20 years!!!

Your new office in progress is stunning! I would love to use Chip It for my husband’s office; he works from home out of a converted attic space that we “finished” ourselves. He supports us single-handedly, and he is such a good husband and father…I would love to do something special for him such as surprising him with a made over office when we returns from a business trip. Thanks for this opportunity!

The stencil was perfect on that wall. I like the colors you picked and your inspiration board is fantastic, especially the drapes.
I would love to do over our office to make it more inviting and coordinated.

I blogged about it here: http://queenoftheclick.com/?p=1605

I would definitely use Chip it for my former playroom that will now be a grown-up office space. I have been looking at Ikea bookcases too. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
XOXO

I’m currently planning on painting our paneled walls in the living room. I’m also bored with our slate blue/gray bedroom walls. I want a true gray. And our laundry room…ugh! I need everything redone in there.

I’d so love to make over our computer/craft room. This room has been a work-in-progress since we moved here a year ago!! I have the cutest chair ever that I snagged for $5 that I’m going to reupholster & paint. I need organization help so winning this awesome giveaway would really come in handy!! Blessings!

Simply beautiful!! Love it. I would love to win the sweepstakes. I have just discovered the world of home decor/diy blogging and I am addicted. I would love to redo my open kitchen/living room with a little paint and new accessories. It is so dark and just not “me.” Thanks to you and your blogger friends for giving me the courage to go for the things I like and quit settling for things just because they match my existing outdated dark decor! Its been so fun reading past archives and learning how to make our house a home on a small budget. Love your blog… Keep blogging!!! 🙂

Your office is going to be beautiful! I can’t wait to see it completed, you have wonderful taste and just know how to put things together so naturally. I would love to redo my living room. I would use Chip-it on the chairs we have and see what it came up with. I think it would be a lot of fun.

I would so love to use it for my basement, I’m dreaming of making my laundry corner down there actually look like a room and making a playroom for my kiddos!

Living room — definitely the living room. It has old wood paneling and a pink stone fireplace that’s difficult to deal with. (I do not care for pink that much!)
I could use the help big-time!

I love what you did with your office. The stenciled wall is amazing. The dining area in our kitchen is really blah and needs a major makeover. I am a chicken when it comes to picking colors. I tried Chip It! and used a picture I took at the beach in East Hampton. I love the paint colors it picked up on. They are perfect for my needs.

Love your office, Rhoda- those colors are great together, and I love the stencil. I’d love to makeover our kitchen and with little wall space, some color on the ceiling is probably what I would have to resort to, plus some fun accessories and organization.
Melissa says
I absolutely love those paint colors Rhoda–so pretty!
I’d love to redo what I call my ‘boudoir’—a my dressing room and sometimes spare bedroom. I would love to find a way to incorporate color and organization.

I love your new office. I’m hoping to redo our bedroom in the near future and will use the chip it tool to help decide on colors.
