Tell Me About YOU!

This ole’ blog of mine sure has evolved since I started it and I’m not even sure how many original readers I still have now.  I don’t think all that many who started with me are still reading, but so many of you have joined in along the way and I’m SO grateful for YOU, YOU, and YOU!  If you have been reading my blog from the beginning, I’d love to hear about it.

Y’all make this so much fun for me and I’d love to hear from YOU today.  I’ve often wondered who all is reading.  You lurkers are a mysterious bunch and don’t come out very often.  Unless I’m having a giveaway. 🙂  Then, you come out of the woodwork.

So, today is all about YOU!  Tell me as much as you want to share, I’d love to know at least what state you live in, how old you are and what you do, if you work out of the home or are a stay at home mom/wife.  If you don’t mind sharing.  I just think this will be so much fun and instead of me talking, YOU can do the talking today.

OK, who’s first! Come on, don’t be shy, tell me about yourself.  We’re all friends here and I would love to know more about my wonderful readers.

And if you have a question for me too, ask away! I’ve got plenty to share from my trip to Atlanta this weekend, but thought this would be fun to do while I get some pics sorted, so I’ll get to that a little later.

Oh, and I just have to throw this in….hello my name is Rhoda, not RhoNda, as many of you think it is! 🙂  I have to laugh, because I’ve been called Rhonda all my life and usually had to correct my teachers the first day of school.  I will be 53 in December.

    Hi Rhoda!

Surprise! KK isn’t my real name. It’s a my husband’s petname for me–“KnickKnack.” I’m 35, a military wife & a SAHM. Thanks for the continued inspiration.

    Hi Rhoda,
I am Donna from Lakeville, Massachusetts, I am 55 and I am a Realtor. I have been married for 36 yrs. I have two grown children and four grandchildren. I have been reading your blog for a long time. I came to blogging from Rate My Space. Rue, from peanutbutter and jelly life and Mary from a little red house were both there along with Picket from Pickets Place….and I found you through them. I check the blogs each morning and again in the evening. I have been inspired by you many times and you keep my mind going with new ideas. I love your office and kitchen. Loved your dining room before and after. You have great style! I feel like you are an old friend, maybe because I have been inside your home so many times?
    ~Keep on Blogging my friend~
    hugs,
    Donna

Hi Rhoda, I am Pat H. from Kansas City, Mo. I have been reading your blog for just a little over two years. (Just about every day, I really enjoy your blog). Mostly I lurk, but have made comments a few times. I was lucky enough to be able to retire early; my husband took an early retirement and wanted to travel, so for the last two years we have been on vacation and love every minute of it. We have two wonderful sons, two beautiful daughter-in-laws, and four sweet grandchildren, one grandson, and three beautiful granddaughters. I worked with special need childrens ( autistic children) for the last 15 years and loved my job..However; I am thoroughly enjoying time with my husband of 41 years and spending time with my mother who has Alzheimer’s and with family and friends. Life is good.

    Hi, Rhoda,
I am 59 yrs old, another Tennessean. I am a fabric-holic who has been sewing since the age of 5 when my mother handed me a needle & thread. I had my own home-based business for 12 yrs, based on children’s clothing. I designed, custom made & then taught sewing for children’s clothing. My biggest reason was to buy imported laces at wholesale prices for my own sewing. (Not really, but very advantageous.) I have moved on to all things machine embroidered. While many of the things that I embroider are for gifts or by request, I am trying to focus on things for our house. It has been sorely neglected & needs a magic-wand makeover. Love your inspiring posts. I have been a faithful reader for a few months.

Wow – I don’t remember how I found your blog or how long ago it has been – but quiet a while ago. I left comments under “anonymous” (for a long time), until I figured out how to create an account, then started my blog later and it has been almost a year since I started mine. I am in TN.
    Fun post!

I don’t remember when I started following your blog, but I found you from another I was reading at the time (don’t remember that one either…DUH!). I don’t have a blog..not a real exciting life here, and a bit of an unreliable PC as well! I am married with one son, two dogs and a fish tank! I am a stay at home GRAMMIE. I retired from the phone company after 30 years, and now I take care of the 2 grands after school and whenever they are are on school vacations and Summers. On November 10 I will have lived in New Hampshire my whole 60 (my that sounds, but doesn’t feel old! ) years.

    Thanks for asking!

    Hi Rhoda,
I am a full-time preschool teacher, and weekend cake decorator who will turn the big four-oh in Jan. I live in Mandeville, LA about 30 min. from New Orleans. I found your blog through another and saw your mirror framing project. I added you to the blogs I follow so I wouldn’t forget when I needed the directions. This summer, I framed my bathroom mirror (I used the fleur de lis corner pieces) and I. LOVE. IT! You definitely inspired me on that one, and I know I will continue to be inspired by following your blog! ~Julie

Hi, I’m a 31-year-old wife and mother of three small children – they are my three jobs right now! I live in a small town in Kansas and am married to a church-planting pastor.

I’ve been reading your blog for close to a year – since my third was born and I spent a lot of time online while feeding him! I can’t remember where I came over here from! Maybe Nesting Place? Or The Lettered Cottage? Not sure! But love it.

Hello Rhoda – no N! I’ve been reading your blog for a long time! It was great to meet you at the Fairgrounds and do people watching and shopping with you! I really had a good time and hope we can get together again sometime! As you know, I’m neglecting my original blog because I have fallen in love with the world of miniatures! It’s is so much fun to find a new hobby where I can use ALL of my home decorating interests! I’m 61 years old, single now and the Mommy of three wonderful grown up children.
I moved to Alabama from Florida to be closer to my daughter about one year ago. I’m still learning my way around! Thanks for sharing the wonderful spots you’ve found in Birmingham! This post was a wonderful idea!
It’s so much fun to see where everyone is from and learn a little bit about them!
    Blessings, Kathi

Hello Rhoda! I had to laugh at your “Rhonda” comment because my name is Kerry and I have been called “Kelly” all my life!

I came across your original blog a while back when I was googling decorative plates. I have a lot of Bordallo Pinneiro plates as do you per your blog. I have a “traditional” style that jives quite a bit with yours, so I have continued to follow you since my original plate search.

I live in Carlton, OR which is a sleepy town in the middle of Oregon wine country. I have been thinking about having you do a consult for my living room space, but am too busy to implement any changes right now so have put that off… for now. It is a small space with an oddly valted ceiling, and I need to redo it from top to bottom. I promise I will seek you out when I am ready.

Just wanted to say hello and let you know that I think you’re wonderful and I enjoy peeking in on all of your adventures!

    Blessings to you,
    Kerry Mohondro
