Wow, thank you ALL for showing up for the giveaway. Ya’ll sure wanted you some pretty glasses and I can’t say that I blame you. I’m so glad you enjoyed My Sparrow and took a look around, some beautiful things in her shop, for sure. So, now for the giveaway winner: Megan with Cottage Bluebird is our winner! Megan, please email me and send me your mailing address and I’ll pass your info on to Christina, so you can get those beautiful tumblers.
It wasn’t a terribly exciting yardsale weekend, but I found a few useful things, like these green acrylic glasses for 25 cents each. I think they match that pitcher I found recently too.
Always on the lookout for good books, this is one I haven’t read by one of my fave authors. I may save it for our beach trip that’s coming up in September. There’s nothing better than sitting on the beach reading a good book. We decided to wait til school starts and take our beach trip later this year.
And I love to find workout clothes in great condition for cheap. These 3 Nike workout tops were $1 each, much better than paying even TJ Maxx prices and these are all in near perfect condition. I will put them to good use very soon. And last for this week, an Eddie Bauer denim skirt for $3. I have a few Eddie Bauer pieces and they are very well made and great quality. Just my size too. They all got washed in the washing machine as soon as I got home and then into my closet.
So, that’s it for me this week. Oh, and remember that Sid Dickens tile I found a couple weeks ago for $3?? Sold it on Ebay for $147, quite a turn around, don’t you think?
I’ll have a few more posts this week and then we are heading up to my parent’s house in NC for a few days. Eating veggies and visiting. I hear tell we are having a fish fry with homemade ice cream one day. Yippee! 🙂
How about YOU? Did you get out and about this weekend and find any treasures. You know the drill!
So, get ready to share your treasures too. Remember our guidelines for Mr. Linky parties:
- Enter your permalink to your thrifty post and NOT just your blog url. If you aren’t sure how to do that, please refer back to last week’s party. All links that do not go to your party post will be deleted.
- Please add a link back to THIS post, so that all your readers can find the party and join in or at least read about all the fun that everyone else had, or I’ll have to delete those too.
- If you come back & your link is deleted, it’s because your link was incorrect (and I couldn’t identify it) OR you didn’t link back to this party. Please try again!

Cute goblets! And good find on the clothes.
For some reason I never check out clothes at yard sales. I think maybe I should start!
Wow!!! What a nice profit you made on that tile! Good job.
Rhonda
Hi Rhoda
I am a thrifty girl at heart too and I always intend to join and today I finally did! Better late than never they say.
Hugs, Rhondi
Maybe not the biggest day but those will still be useful!
So did the exercise lady just give up? I don’t think I have seen exercise bras in a GS before.
My friend said she was going to Joe’s. I asked her to stare at the floor in a moment of silence for me then have some of Mama’s desserts.
The Appeal is a great book – hope you like it!
HI Rhoda,
Thanks for hosting this jazzy party!
I also love Grisham novels. I have a few I haven’t read and I’m saving them for colder weather. Those days when you just want to curl up on the couch with a warm and comfy blanket and spend the day reading.
Hi Rhoda!
I have been wanting to join in the fun here on your blog. I enjoy reading your posts and all your thrift store finds!! When I was a little girl…my mom and aunts had a code name for Thrift store shopping…”the micky”. I think it had something to do with not wanting other’s to know where they shopped and found all their great deals!! Ha! LOL! Today it’s the thrill of the hunt for that perfect find!! Hugs!!
I’m so glad I found your blog! I just love garage sales and Goodwill, I feel that there is always something special waiting for us out there. I have to tell you that I fell in love with the door wreath posted on your “Meet Rhoda” tab. I might have to “borrow” that idea, I will be sure to mention you as my inspiration though. Thank you for your wonderful blog!
Ooooooo! Lucky number 77!!
Thanks for hosting this party! It’s so much fun to see everyone’s finds.
Love those running bras! Great deals, Rhoda! I’m not sure if I got a good deal or not on my find Saturday!! Let me know what you think!
Hugs!
Susan
Great deals on those sports tops….and that re-sale of the book – Wowie ! I am going to keep my eyes open for things like that !
Kammy
I just cant get over your Grandma, your slip covers, and that tile you make a song with! You are one busy lil Momma! Good to hear y’all are going to spend some family time and that icecream sounds good! I wanted to go hit a few garage sales in true Rhoda fashion but was too busy on that playhouse {cottage..studio}…it so needs a name. Anyway , go check out my floors if you get a chance. Layla gave me the idea to do the checker board…..sweet!
Great finds…love the skirt!
And thanks for the tip the other day on the stain. It will be this weekend’s project!
Thanks for hosting the Thrifty Treasures! I love seeing what everyone finds!
Quite a turn around indeed! How exciting – looks like you bought some useful stuff this week, that skirt is so pretty 🙂
Don’t know why people didn’t have great sales this weekend – weather nice and no holiday but it was really a pitiful few sales.
Rhoda,
My first week posting thrifty treasures! I’ve been reading your blog for ages so it’s about time! Great treasures this week. I don’t have much luck with thrift stores in my area (lots of unusable junk) but maybe one of these days I’ll start hitting some yard sales. You are an inspiration to many, including me!
Blessings,
Linda
