{Giveaway is Closed!}
The Winner is: #4, Sheila Fitzgerald. Congrats, Sheila!
Have you heard about this new thing called The Bagster bag?
I started hearing about it last year, but didn’t get the chance to try it out until now. Bagster gave me a giftcard to use to buy a bag and for the pickup and with all the junk around my house right now, this really came in handy!
The Bagster is great to use if you have a small project with debris you need to get rid of. At $29.95 retail for the bag and flat rate collection fee ranges from $79 to $249 per bag, depending on your area (my area is $99), that’s 50 to 70 percent less than a dumpster rental.
The Bagster got rid of that big pile of wood we ripped out of my house, as well as a few other things that we had sitting around. It was nice to see all of that go. Even though I will still have a lot of junk to remove at the end of my kitchen project, this was a good start to de-junking my new house. Having all of this hauled off just feels good!
The Bagster is sold at most of the home improvement stores, like Home Depot and Lowes, as well as Walmart. The company that picks it up is Waste Management. The bag comes wrapped like this, very small and unassuming.
Then you unfold it and it grows and grows, to about 4’ x 8’ with sides that can be pulled up higher once the bag is filled. It was a very easy process and I’d highly recommend The Bagster bag for your smaller home renovation or home cleanup projects.
We got my friend Debbie’s son, Andrew, to come back over and he and my dad got busy stacking in that old wood. It helped to have 2 people working at it, to make sure every inch was taken advantage of and stacking it straight and flat helped get more in there.
In a short time, the bag was filled. It can hold up to 3,300 lbs. so we didn’t completely max it out, just in case the weight might be an issue.
Those sides can fold up even more to get the maximum benefit.
Here it is all finished and filled and the handles cross over the middle waiting for pickup. We got lots in there, including the old kitchen sink! All I had to do is call Waste Management and they came out in just a couple of days and picked it up and hauled it off.
Easy peasy and no hassle at all! I would definitely use this product again for similar projects.
(not my pickup, but an example of how it’s done)
Quick and easy! I really like The Bagster and how it works and would definitely use it again for any smaller projects I have around the home.
Some things to know about The Bagster bag:
- Highly durable, woven bag that can hold up to 3,300 pounds of debris and big enough for full sheets of plywood, doors and even a bathtub (I added a sink!)
- It’s a great choice for any home improvement project, since many times construction debris can’t be picked up in a regular trash can.
- Use the bag for as long as you need it and then call Waste Management to pick up the bag.
- Collection can be scheduled online at www.thebagster.com or by calling 1-877-789-2247, and Waste Management will collect the bag within three business days.
Now for some more great news! Waste Management is giving away $100 giftcard so that ONE of my readers can try out The Bagster bag too! Do you have a project you’re working on and need to have your junk hauled away?
Leave a comment on this post telling me what project you might be working on in the near future and how you will use the $$ for The Bagster bag at your house!

This sounds like a great idea. We are planning on redoing our kitchen cabinets and flooring. This would be a great way to deal with all of the construction debris.

My bathroom is teeny tiny in my 150+ year old house. The tub is a WREAK and to replace it means the whole room has to/should be redone, so the Bagster will be holding a tub, surround sheeting, a toilet, vanity, sink, flooring, plumbing hardware and what debris the workers create. Sounds like a very full bag to me!
Have seen these advertised on television and thought it was a brilliant solution for home improvement.

Our oldest child just moved across the country, and our younger one is still in college. Time to get rid of all the stuff we have been saving, if they haven’t taken it by now they don’t want it….out it goes.
We have used Bagster once before and it is a wonderful and easy way to clear stuff out!

The Bagster would be super to take away the pile of rubble we have on the side of our house already. We are in the process of renovating a small bathroom and are not yet finished!

have a storage room that will soon be converted to an additional bedroom, so will be throwing out a lot from the room before construction as well as the construction debris . This Bagster is nice because you are not paying a monthly rental for a dumpster…….charisse

I had just heard something about this Bagster the other day and was thinking how great that wuld be when I start taking out the loden green tile in my bathroom. It looks like 1985 every time I go in there and the dark green to match grout never looks clean as it has a white haze on it even after I steam clean the grout. Can’t wait to put he broken pieces in a BAGSTER and have them haul it away! Thanks Waste Management for the opportunity!

I have a little clutter (OK, A WHOLE LOT) of clutter from basement and attic that would love a ride in the Bagster! My husband and I have been looking at the commercial, and now that you endorse it, will give it a try! Would love to try it for free like you did! 🙂

We are trying to re-landscape our front, side, and backyards. This would be perfect, because we can only do a little her and there.

Wow!!! This would be great to have since we are trying to get our house ready to sell. I never realized just how much junk we’ve actually accumulated over the last eight years!!
TammyLovesDishes says
Wow! This is a great product and so doable for the average homeowner. We have a lot of decluttering to do and some odds and ends from the yard (old landscaping wood) which would be perfect for the Bagster.

We bought a house a few months ago and are in the process of a reno, so it would be very useful!

We will be cleaning out our home and one of these sure would come in handy. They seem really handy for the average homeowner compared to the cost of a big dumpster rental. The only problem is with people like out neighbor who has one sitting on the patch of grass between out two homes for at least the past 6 months! It is an eyesore and the neighborhood kids tear thru all the trash in it and make a mess, other people just come by and throw trash in it too, and the other night I saw a big rat come out of it. I think there should be some kind of time limit on how long you can leave them sitting around before they must be hauled off. I am so tempted to call the town on the neighbor but don’t want to be known as the neighborhood grouch….but then again I am very afraid someone will get bit by a rat.

I’m moving out on my own and my parents say I gotta clean out my room when I go! Man could I use this!
skye says
I already have the bag but could sure use the gift card to pay for the pick up!
The debris is from ripping out a cracked and chipped tile floor in the kitchen, from the replacement of rotten (termite and water) siding on the chimney, and from upgrading the kitchen counters.
We are trying to fix up a split-entry in Lawrenceville, GA as time and money allow. Not to mention the toddler *sigh*

Wow, could sure use this for our fall attic cleanup project. What a great idea!
