Today, I’m heading down to Montgomery, AL (actually Pike Road, AL) to the Chapel Market that my friend, Layla, put together, you can read all the details on that post. I’m going to hang out with friends and enjoy a girl’s weekend away. If you’re in the area and haven’t heard about it, come on by this Saturday, the 19th and join us. It’s going to be a blast. There will be several bloggers there selling vintage goods and you know that will be fun. I can’t wait and of course, I’ll share all when I return!
Now, on to Feature Friday!
It’s not often that I can say on a Feature Friday post that I’ve actually stayed in that house, but this week I can. Meet Suzy, from Worthing Court, a sweet blogger in NC and I’ve enjoyed getting to know her through blogging. I had the pleasure of staying with her and her hubby when I went up to the High Point market earlier this year and I really enjoyed it. She made me feel very welcome in her home and she has put together a very nice and cozy home for her family. It’s a big place with lots of rooms to decorate and Suzy has them all looking pretty.
Coming in her spacious foyer she has traditional furniture and pretty pieces all around.
This bench is right at home in the foyer.
At the front of the house is the dining room, with reds, golds, and greens.
Suzy used to own her own drapery workroom, so she has plenty of beautiful fabrics and custom made draperies. Lovely!
Her living room is on the other side of the foyer with similar colors.
Pillows add some texture and color.
Her office space is equipped with some pretty dark wood furniture fit for an executive.
Storage and seating are plentiful too.
Here’s where the house grows large, this soaring to the ceiling greatroom which opens to the kitchen.
This is the room they live in most of the time, watching TV and relaxing. We visited in here while I was there.
Lots of seating and a nice view to the kitchen. It’s very warm and comfortable.
Love this side table painted green. Suzy loves green like I do.
Going into the kitchen, it’s a spacious kitchen with large island in the center.
A very spacious kitchen for sure.
Pretty apothecary jars on the island.
Lime green walls in the laundry room and a chalkboard for a fave scripture verse.
Their bedroom is one of the largest I’ve seen. My sister’s might rival theirs, but not many do.
More custom made draperies and table skirt that I’m sure Suzy made. She is very talented in that area.
Here’s a look at how big this master is. See the sitting area off to the right. It’s huge! Suzy said they really don’t use it that much, but the space is there.
Here’s the guest room that I got to stay in, so cozy and comfy. I appreciated the hospitality from Suzy.
And one more room upstairs that gets used a lot is the playroom. Suzy has 2 granddaughters that she keeps regularly and this is their dedicated playroom. So cute!
I hope you enjoyed seeing Suzy’s pretty home in NC, a lovely and welcoming home! Stop by Worthing Court and say hello, Suzy would love to meet you too.
