Holiday: A Giveaway

Giveaway is Closed

After much anticipation by all, the beautifully designed issues of Holiday magazine by Matthew Mead have arrived. After preordering earlier this year, I just received my copy in the last couple of days and have flipped through the gorgeous pages and will set aside time to read each and every entry. It’s 146 pages of pure Christmas magic and beauty and I really think that you’ll all enjoy it tremendously. It’s only available through the Holiday website at this time, no copies will be on the newsstands. This is the very first issue and we hope there are more!

Not your typical glossy magazine, this is really more of a book, with matte pages and beautifully photographed Christmas rooms and ideas. Chock full of crafts, recipes, vignettes and more, it is sure to be a book to turn to for Holiday inspiration for years to come.

Matthew is completely an artist when it comes to styling photos and vignettes.ย  Second to none and you can see his well-known work all over the pages.ย  Matthew has been involved in magazinesย  for so many years and is a master. You’ll find loads of inspiration for your own Christmas style.

Page after page of beauty and tempting ideas.

And you won’t find all the ads in between stories like normal magazines.ย  There are a few at the back and mostly small women-owned shops are featured.ย  Several bloggers (including myself) are featured in a few pages and Christmas craft ideas from our blogs were used as inspiration.ย  So, if you need some fresh new ideas this year, I think you’re in luck.ย  Matthew and company have asked me to give away ONE copy of Holiday to one of you.ย  If you already have a copy, please don’t sign up.ย  I’d love for someone who does not already own one, to win this time!

Thanks so much!ย  Just leave a comment and tell me what sort of ideas you have this year for Christmas decorating.ย  Are you changing things up or doing what you always do?

Me, I always have to change things up some just to keep things fresh and new!

NOTE:ย  If you are reading this by email subscription, please DO NOT email me back for the giveaway.ย  As always, you will need to leave comments on THIS post to be eligible for the magazine!ย  Thanks so much!

I’ve got a few giveaways going on this week and last, so bear with me.ย  They’re all good ones, so I hope you enjoy.ย  I’ll pick a winner on Wednesday evening.

I always try to change things from year to year. I have a few things that NEVER change or my kids would revolt! Looks like a great magazine!

I have been a fan of Matthew Mead forever. I remember when he would do craft segments for Country Style on HGTV hosted by Michelle Torres about 10 years ago. I always found something to use in my home. As far as changing things up this year…. we have our first grandchild who is mobile so I am hoping to copy the idea of raising the tree on a bird bath or finding an old pedestal stink base. BTW… enjoy your blog. I am Southern gal who now lives in MA.

I am changing it up this year….going more understated and will be using lots of natural and nature-inspired objects – pinecones, nuts, eucalyptus, berries, nests, etc. and could really use Matthew’s ideas for inspiration. This year, I am going through all my old Christmas decorations and giving a load of them to charity. We have a thrift store that does a Christmas “boutique” and all the funds are donated to Visiting Nurse Association. So, a win for all! Thanks, Maureen

    I would love to enter!
I think we might be changing things up a little bit this year, using more natural decorations…such as pine cones, pine boughs, things from our garden, ect.
Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway!!
    Blessings,
    Shannon

I decorate pretty traditional, but we finally have some money this year to start buying bigger pieces-we just got our first tree and two smaller ones for our front porch. Would love some design inspiration though!

Hi Rhoda – I would love to win this mag! I can always use new ideas for decorating. This year I’m doing a stylish tree after many years of doing the traditional tree with ornaments collected over our lifetime. I’m doing the tree in aqua/teal, white and gold. Also am trying the treetop similar to the one you did last year. Thanks for a great giveaway! ๐Ÿ™‚

I would love to have a chance to enjoy this magazine. This year I plan to place a tree in the master bedroom. Certainly, a busy time is upon us all. Thanks, for the give-away!

I think this magazine/book by Matthew would be excellent to have in my collection! I’m planning to incorporate some oranges and maybe turquoise in my decorating scheme for the holiday.

Thank you for the generous giveaway. This year we’re doing a Nightmare Before Christmas theme for our tree, we like to do something different each year.

Hi, I would love to receive the giveaway copy of this magazine. Every year I do a new theme for our Christmas. This year we are doing a โ€œnatureโ€ theme using pinecones with eyehooks in the top and then a theme colored satin ribbon tied into a bow to use on my tree. I am always looking for new ideas.

    Thanks,

I’m definitely changing things up this Christmas. I am vowing to get rid of about 75% of my Christmas decorations, I have too many!!!
    Thanks for the fabulous giveaway!

Oooh, I’d love a copy! I’m a new subscriber/follower. We are changing things up this year by traveling rather than celebrating at home. We’ll be spending part of the holidays with our first grandchild and the rest with our mothers. So, it’ll be all new…and old familiar things, too!

I usually decorate in a very tradional way for Christmas. This year though I have two toddling nephews around. So I am going to decorate very kid friendly. I love my nephews and do not want them to get hurt by breakables or chocking hazards. ๐Ÿ™‚
