Giveaway is Closed
After much anticipation by all, the beautifully designed issues of Holiday magazine by Matthew Mead have arrived. After preordering earlier this year, I just received my copy in the last couple of days and have flipped through the gorgeous pages and will set aside time to read each and every entry. It’s 146 pages of pure Christmas magic and beauty and I really think that you’ll all enjoy it tremendously. It’s only available through the Holiday website at this time, no copies will be on the newsstands. This is the very first issue and we hope there are more!
Not your typical glossy magazine, this is really more of a book, with matte pages and beautifully photographed Christmas rooms and ideas. Chock full of crafts, recipes, vignettes and more, it is sure to be a book to turn to for Holiday inspiration for years to come.
Matthew is completely an artist when it comes to styling photos and vignettes. Second to none and you can see his well-known work all over the pages. Matthew has been involved in magazines for so many years and is a master. You’ll find loads of inspiration for your own Christmas style.
Page after page of beauty and tempting ideas.
And you won’t find all the ads in between stories like normal magazines. There are a few at the back and mostly small women-owned shops are featured. Several bloggers (including myself) are featured in a few pages and Christmas craft ideas from our blogs were used as inspiration. So, if you need some fresh new ideas this year, I think you’re in luck. Matthew and company have asked me to give away ONE copy of Holiday to one of you. If you already have a copy, please don’t sign up. I’d love for someone who does not already own one, to win this time!
Thanks so much! Just leave a comment and tell me what sort of ideas you have this year for Christmas decorating. Are you changing things up or doing what you always do?
Me, I always have to change things up some just to keep things fresh and new!
NOTE: If you are reading this by email subscription, please DO NOT email me back for the giveaway. As always, you will need to leave comments on THIS post to be eligible for the magazine! Thanks so much!
I’ve got a few giveaways going on this week and last, so bear with me. They’re all good ones, so I hope you enjoy. I’ll pick a winner on Wednesday evening.

I am planning on changing things a little, not sure how but this is our first year with all of our children married and in their own homes. This magazine could be just the inspiration I need to change up our decorating.

I would love to win a copy! You could spend an afternoon lost in those pages! I usually keep the same thing each year, I have given my children and now a granddaughter a new ornament for the tree each year so it is always exciting having them look for their new ornament and revisit all the old ones, just a little tradition that brings back many wonderful memories.
thanks

I want a change- I need a change. I have read your blog for so long. Southern Hospitality is really my jumping off spot to things other than primitives. I fell in love with whites, pretty things and clean feeling spaces( my prim friends think I am a traitor). So far all I have managed to get are some silver ornaments ( balls) at a thrift store. They were 4 boxes/$1.00. I just picked up some mini LED lights on sale at Lowe’s. I need more though, I need inspiration. I NEED THIS BOOK IN MY LIFE!! 🙂

I started my Christmas decorations this past weekend. My 50 ft. porch is done (including FIVE lighted trees and garland galore). I always go with a rustic theme, but switch things around a bit. This year my focus is on incorporating more natural elements, including lots of pinecones, dried hydrangeas, feathers (turkey and pheasant), nests, lots of birds, and real greens found throughout our 60 acres. I’m bringing the outdoors in for the holidays!

That looks AMAZING and I would love a copy!
I am changing things up this year and going for a more vintage look…santa fe blue, shrimp peach, and creme…
I can’t wait to see the results!

This year I’m doing both: what I often do & hoping to add a bunch of new things to our holiday decor. I’d love to win a copy of this new magazine. It looks amazing, and my brain could use the influx of some new inspiration!

My tree is always the same White and Gold but I am going to do some small trees this year also and would love a copy of this book for some new ideas.

I started with a new theme last year that I am just adding to this year. When my husband and I were newlyweds, I wanted everything cream. I had a totally neutral tree, very retro. Now that we have two small children, I want everything to be more FUN! My new theme is more whimsy, like Cat in the Hat meets Candyland. Everything is candy apple red and brighter greens with a lot of stripes and polka dots. I have these adorable large red sequin molded bows and extra large German glass snowmen. My favorite thign on my tree is a red metal Falala sign that I hand right in the middle of the tree! So cute!! I’m dying for this Farrisilk lime green ribbon with a chenille red scroll, but it’s $50! This year I’m also trying to add more candy cane things to my tree. My kids make Christmas so much more special!!!

I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to win!! I’d never heard of Matthew until I entered blog world. I’m going to start my Christmas decorating this week! I’m doing some of the same but I’m also adding a second tree!!

I’d love to win Rhoda! I’m already in love with the simplicity of the bare green trees. I’ve been wanting to keep things simple this year. Usually I keep everything the same, but this year just screams for simplicity, love, family and spending time together.

I had surgery on both of my feet last week and will be ‘laid up’ for 2 months – so I will not be doing much decorating at all this year. Last week, before the surgery, I went up in the attic and got down the garland for the front door and wreaths for the front windows. I think my huband can manage to get these up. I don’t think I can even put a tree up. I’m hoping to find some kind of simple but impactful ideas to get some Christmas spirit going inside. Would LOVE to win thi Christmas book!

I am so changing it up this holiday. I (meaning my hubby) painted our kitchen AND cabinets a mint green this summer so I’m trying PINK and SILVER. I’m also having a tea with some friends early in December so I already have started playing with colors. Love it to step outside the box.
I would love to win a copy.

I’m probably doing the same old, same old. I may change our outdoor decorations up a bit. I saw some nice things in the Lowe’s catalog a few weeks ago.
I would love to have this book!

This book looks SO GOOD! For years I’ve been traditional red ‘n’ green. Ready for a change, and could use some inspiration. Thanks for the chance to win!
