Tell Me About YOU!

This ole’ blog of mine sure has evolved since I started it and I’m not even sure how many original readers I still have now.  I don’t think all that many who started with me are still reading, but so many of you have joined in along the way and I’m SO grateful for YOU, YOU, and YOU!  If you have been reading my blog from the beginning, I’d love to hear about it.

Y’all make this so much fun for me and I’d love to hear from YOU today.  I’ve often wondered who all is reading.  You lurkers are a mysterious bunch and don’t come out very often.  Unless I’m having a giveaway. 🙂  Then, you come out of the woodwork.

So, today is all about YOU!  Tell me as much as you want to share, I’d love to know at least what state you live in, how old you are and what you do, if you work out of the home or are a stay at home mom/wife.  If you don’t mind sharing.  I just think this will be so much fun and instead of me talking, YOU can do the talking today.

OK, who’s first! Come on, don’t be shy, tell me about yourself.  We’re all friends here and I would love to know more about my wonderful readers.

And if you have a question for me too, ask away! I’ve got plenty to share from my trip to Atlanta this weekend, but thought this would be fun to do while I get some pics sorted, so I’ll get to that a little later.

Oh, and I just have to throw this in….hello my name is Rhoda, not RhoNda, as many of you think it is! 🙂  I have to laugh, because I’ve been called Rhonda all my life and usually had to correct my teachers the first day of school.  I will be 53 in December.

Hi! I’m Cara, a 30 year old attorney-turned-SAHM mom to my 2 year old son. I live in Katy, TX (near Houston). We’ve got lots of little decorating projects all over our house (kids bathroom, playroom, master bedroom, master bath), and I’m pretty sure once I finish all the rooms, I’ll be starting over again in the dining room!

My name is Ann, I am a mother of 2, grandmother of 5, divorced, live in Enid, Oklahoma and I am retired from 35 years with Civil Service (Department of the Air Force). For years while I was putting 2 thru high school and college I had a full time day job and a home wood craft business. I did my own designs, cut my wood, sanded, painted and sent to craft shops. After a lot of years of that I got burned out and now I do computer work for my sons websites. Years back I bought a 1930s craftsman house which I love and did a ton of make overs from garage sales to furnish it.

Hi Rhonda! I’m 27 years old and live in Chandler Arizona. I moved to Arizona from Nebraska 1 year ago and it has been great! I work full time and am planning my March wedding in Las Vegas. We got engaged in San Diego on Coronado Island (my first time to California!). I have a Chihuahua named Tory who is my entertainment until children come into our lives in the future! I’ve been reading your blog since I’ve moved to Arizona 1 year ago; I read it daily and love it! Thanks!

Hi Rhoda I am Jennifer. I just celebrated my 29th birthday. I live in Pensacola. We travel to Birmingham quite a bit with my husbands job, so I like it when you write about shops around your town. Hoping one day that I will get to visit some of them! We have moved into a new house, and I love to look at your blog for inspiration!

Hi Rhoda … I’m 58 and live just outside Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I am divorced and it is just me and Sam (my cat). I love decorating … I own a mitre box and know how to use it! (lol).
I just discovered home decor blogs in August and have been an avid follower since. I was even inspired to start my own. I have worked for 31 years for the largest IT company in the work … but am not very techy … so I thought it would be a challenge to set up a blog. It was EASY and I would encourage those of you have hesitated to just do it. Everyone out in blogland is very encouraging.
Rhoda …. Thanks for all your inspiration and interesting projects.

Hi Rhoda. I’m Stacey in Edmond, Oklahoma. I’ve been reading your blog since summer of 2007. I absolutely love it! I have two teenage boys, one in college and one senior. We also have two dogs. My goal has always been to have a homey beautiful place to grow. You help me create that! Thank you for all you share with us. I really do think you have a gift for transforming homes and I’ve learned or been prompted from you many times.

    Hi Rhoda,
I LOVE your blog. 🙂 I’m a 28 yr old mom of 3, from the great Northwest. I grew up in TN, though, and I miss the South like crazy! I’m an avid reader, aspiring novelist, novice runner, and passionate crafter. I suck at housework and cooking….good thing my hubby and kids are so patient with me. 😉
Thanks for all the fun reading. If you’d like to check out more about me, you can check out my blog: http://www.shanasmusic.blogspot.com, or you can follow me on twitter: http://twitter.com/yarntwisted .

Hi Rhoda! I’ve been following you for almost a year now. Think I found you from Kelly’s Korner. I’m a southern gal who has lived in the frozen tundra of Iowa for the past 10 years. I am on staff at the church I attend but have been an elementary teacher and a stay at home mom as well. I will be 52 in November and am almost empty nested. I’ve always loved decorating and you have inspired me to try some new things. If i ever make it to AL, I hope you’ll let me tag along with you to some yard sales cause you find the greatest stuff!

Thanks Rhoda for giving us a chance to introduce ourselves. I recently found your blog when I googled “paint furniture black”. Your step-by-step tutorial is great! I am a SAHM to two boys; 2yrs and 6mos. Four years ago, my hubby and I gutted 70% of our house and have been remodeling it as time and money allows. I love your affordable decorating tips and tutorials! Your post offering blog tips was especially helpful, it encouraged me to take the plunge and start my own blog. Hopefully, I’ll soon be part of the fun Mcklinky parties! Thanks again…

Hi Rhoda, I’ve been a reader of your lovely blog for a few months now, I think I found it through another blog, but not sure which one. I’m in Greensboro, NC. where I’ve lived for 8 years now. My husband, myself and our almost 4 year old son will be moving next year to Virginia – my husband is already there, he started working up there in July. I’m 41, I was laid off from my work from home job as an auditor in April, and I’m enjoying every moment of unemployment and being a stay at home mother, especially during this wonderful time of year from fall to the holidays! Thanks for creating such an inspiring blog!
